The company markets its products under its two global brands – Apollo and Vredestein, and its products are available in over 100 countries through a vast network of branded, exclusive and multi-product outlets. **Job Title**: AM/M - Tyre Development **Location**: Chennai R&D **Reports to (Position)**: **Department/Function**: **Number of Direct Reports (Solid Line)**: 0 **Number of Direct Reports (Dotted Line)**: 0 **Number of Outsourced Reports**: 0 **Purpose of the Job**: Responsible for Supporting PDM in development activity adhering to APDP process., by Timely Coordination with relevant stake holders for completion of all planned tasks related to projects in order to Track & drive Product performance & profitability projects …………………… **Major Responsibilities**: Study PB and carry out activities as per APDP for product development. Setting of Design goal & preparing design iterations for simulating various design concepts Capture development requirements based on VOC for NPD projects. Study of PB drive the project towards cost effect development. Conduct Bench marking activity and Gap analysis towards reference. Setting of Design goal & preparing design iterations for finalising various design concepts. Release design specification, Design pack (PAC, Design input, Material lineup, Layout & MFS) for Proto-run trials. Co-ordination with plant PI Team to support FTR Sample preparation Development Results review in each loops & preparation for QR stages. Prepare MFS along with project lead for next Iteration. Review of PAC and Cut-sectional compliance for Gate-1 sign-off. QR documentation for projects. Need to co-relate the product failures due to design and continuously work on performance enhancement of released products. **Skills**: Knowledge (Technical / Functional) Experience in PCR Tyre development Test standards & simulation interpretation Good knowledge on Tyre technology, tyre manufacturing, testing equipment. Good knowledge on tyre engineering calculation Skills: Strong communication skills Strong Interpersonal skills Logical thinking & Analytical skills **Relevant Experience**: Min 4 to 6 Years in tyre development / tyre engineering **Education Qualification(s)**: B. Tech (Mechanical, Polymer engineering.)
