Assistant General Manager - TQM & Business Excellence

Job description

To drive the Business Excellence and Continuous Improvement agenda across mining operations through implementation of TQM practices, Lean methodologies, Six Sigma initiatives, Kaizen culture, Quality Circle Programs, Cost Optimization projects, and Continuous Improvement frameworks. The role will be responsible for enhancing operational excellence, productivity, quality performance, employee involvement, and sustainable business growth. Roles and Responsibilities • Lead Total Quality Management (TQM) and Business Excellence initiatives across the organization & Develop and implement TQM practices across mining and support functions. • Establish quality systems, standards, and continuous improvement frameworks • Develop and implement process excellence strategies to improve operational efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. • Lead Business Excellence programs aligned with organizational objectives. • Conduct Kaizen workshops and improvement campaigns • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous improvement projects. • Conduct lean six sigma certifications, green belt training, and other quality improvement programs to enhance organizational capabilities. • Drive Quality Circle and Cross Functional Team activities across mining locations. • Identify opportunities for process improvement through Six Sigma methodology • Track project progress, savings, productivity gains, and operational benefits. • Establish Daily Work Management systems across operational departments. • Monitor KPIs, review performance gaps, and drive corrective actions • Analyze data to measure performance metrics such as OEE, FMEA, SPC, PPAP, CFTI, CSAT etc. Desired Candidate Profile • 10-15 years of experience in manufacturing industry with expertise in Business Excellence, Lean Six Sigma, Process Excellence, Process Improvement, Business Improvement, Operational Excellence. • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.Tech / B.E.) from a reputed institution. • Proven track record of implementing successful TQM & BE initiatives resulting in significant improvements in productivity, quality & cost reduction.
