About the Role : We are looking for a qualified and experienced Medical Officer to provide primary healthcare services to employees and contract workers at our mining site in Goa. The role involves managing occupational health, handling medical emergencies, conducting health assessments, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements f DGMS. Roles and Responsibilities • Provide medical care to employees in the mine site, including first aid and emergency services. • Conduct regular health check-ups and employee / stake holder consultations . • Manage administration tasks such as record-keeping, inventory management, and staff supervision. • Provide medical consultation and treatment to employees, contract workers, and other authorized personnel. • Attend and manage medical emergencies, first aid cases, and occupational injuries at the mine site. • Conduct pre-employment, periodic, and statutory medical examinations as per regulatory requirements. • Maintain medical records, health reports, and confidential employee health data. • Monitor occupational health hazards and recommend preventive measures. • Coordinate health awareness programs, vaccination drives, and wellness initiatives. • Ensure availability and proper maintenance of medicines, medical equipment, and first aid facilities. • Liaise with hospitals, diagnostic centers, and emergency services for specialized treatment and referrals. • Support compliance with Mines Rules, DGMS guidelines and company health policies. • Prepare and submit health-related reports to management and statutory authorities as required. • Participate in emergency preparedness and disaster management activities • Develop and implement effective healthcare strategies to promote industrial health and prevent occupational diseases. • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of medical services. • Look after the IME / PME of employee & as well as associate employees. Desired Candidate Profile • 3-5 years of experience as a Medical Officer or equivalent role in a similar industry (mining). • M.B.B.S. degree from an Indian University (Any Specialization). • AFIH (Associate Fellow of Industrial Health) qualification will be preferred.
