**Job Title:** Cloud Platform Engineer **Department** : ITG- CPBS **About Business line/Function** : BNPP Fortis APS **Position Purpose:** Multi-cloud infrastructure provisioning via Terraform-based toolchain and Application deployment. **Primary Responsibility** - Translate Detailed-technical-Design (DTD) specifications into Terraform configuration files to automate and standardize infrastructure deployment. Deploy applications on cloud platform. **Responsibilities** Direct Responsibilities - DTD Translation - Interpret DTD documentation (e.g., architecture diagrams, security requirements, network topologies) into Terraform (HCL) code. - Ensure alignment with BNP Paribas Fortis cloud policies (e.g., security, cost, compliance). - Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Ownership - Develop, version-control (e.g., Git), and maintain Terraform modules/templates for reusable components. - Collaborate with Cloud Architects and Security Teams to validate configurations. - Multi-Cloud Provisioning - Deploy infrastructure across approved cloud providers (e.g., IT Cloud, dMZR as Code, ...) using Terraform. - Manage state files securely (e.g., remote backends, locking mechanisms). - Compliance & Governance - Enforce tagging standards, cost allocation, and resource quotas via Terraform. - Collaboration & Handover - Document configurations in Confluence/Jira for operational teams. - Support DevOps/SRE teams during deployment and troubleshooting. **You Know Your Way Around** - Stakeholder management - Communication is the best practice - On call on rotational basis. Technical & Behavioral Competencies **Mandatory Skills** - Terraform code – HCL - Kubernetes - Hashicorp Vault - Networking: able to understand a Network topology. Knowledge about Ingress, Load Balancers, Network Policies (Calico), TCP/IP, DNS. - Able to understand an architecture diagram - Linux: Admin (RHEL/Ubuntu), troubleshooting (logs, networking, permissions), Bash/Python. - Git / Gitlab CI (Bash) - Log analysis - Ansible **Nice To Have** - IBM Cloud: Proficiency in services (VPC, IKS, COS, IAM) and CLI (ibmcloud). - Monitoring and alerting (Dynatrace / Sysdig): APM, metrics, alerts, K8s integration (OneAgent). - Linux: Admin (RHEL/Ubuntu), troubleshooting (logs, networking, permissions), Bash/Python. - Cloud Security: Knowledge about IAM, VPC Security Groups, secrets management (Vault, IBM Key Protect). **Business Experience** - IAAS concept - IAAC - Experience with cloud platform - Cloud conceptual knowledge - Kafka topics - Database - Logging **Specific Qualifications** - Follows the Customer processes for projects, incident and change management. - Being standalone and team worker, analytical minded, meet commitment, ability to work in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment, flexible, customer-oriented, understand risk awareness. - Motivated self-starter, process-oriented with high attention to detail - Quick self-starter, pro-active attitude. - Good communication skills, Good analytical and synthesis skills. - Autonomy, commitment and perseverance. - Ability to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment. - Flexibility (in peak periods extra efforts may be required). - Open minded and show flexibility in self-learning new technologies/tools. - You are customer minded and can translate technical issues into non-technical explanations. - You are always conscious about continuity of services. - You have a very good team spirit and share your knowledge and experience with other members of the team.
