Job Description Garment Merchandiser Position: Garment Merchandiser Location: Bangalore, Karnataka Industry: Garment Manufacturing / Apparel Export Experience: 25 years (depending on level) Employment Type: Full-time Job Responsibilities • Handle merchandising activities from order confirmation to final shipment . • Coordinate with buyers, suppliers, production, sampling, quality and sourcing teams. • Understand buyer requirements, tech packs, specifications and product details. • Prepare and follow up on TA (Time and Action) calendars . • Coordinate fabric, trims and accessories procurement as per production requirements. • Follow up on sampling, approvals, lab dips, fabrics, trims and fit comments . • Monitor production progress and ensure orders are completed within the agreed timeline. • Coordinate with production and quality teams to resolve issues affecting delivery. • Communicate with buyers regarding order status, approvals and changes. • Check and maintain costing, consumption, order quantities and shipment details. • Ensure all buyer requirements and quality standards are followed. • Maintain order-related documentation and prepare regular status reports. • Coordinate with the logistics team for final inspection and shipment . Candidate Requirements • Graduate/Diploma in Fashion, Apparel, Textile, Garment Technology or related field preferred. • 25 years of experience in garment merchandising/apparel manufacturing . • Good knowledge of garment production processes. • Understanding of fabrics, trims, measurements, construction and garment terminology. • Good communication and negotiation skills. • Strong follow-up and coordination abilities. • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. • Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint . • Experience with export buyers and international apparel standards is an advantage.
