Job Description Engineer / Sr. Engineer Safety Company: Anup Engineering Designation: Engineer / Sr. Engineer Safety Grade: E2 Experience: 37 Years Qualification: PDIS / ADIS Job Location: Odhav Kheda No. of Vacancies: 3 Vacancy Split: 2 positions Kheda | 1 position Odhav Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Engineer / Sr. Engineer Safety to drive safety and EHS activities across the plant. The candidate will be responsible for identifying and mitigating workplace hazards, conducting safety inspections and training, ensuring statutory and safety compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture across the organization. Key Responsibilities • Conduct Hazard Analysis and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for various activities and operations. • Carry out regular safety inspections to identify unsafe conditions and unsafe practices and recommend corrective actions. • Investigate and analyze accidents, incidents and near misses and maintain proper records to prevent recurrence. • Prepare and maintain daily, weekly and monthly safety observation reports and accident statistics . • Conduct EHS-related training programs, including: • Employee Induction Training • Toolbox Meetings • Mock Drills • Safety Awareness Programs • Conduct and coordinate monthly Safety Committee Meetings . • Identify PPE requirements and ensure proper availability, usage, maintenance and care of PPE. • Evaluate requirements for safety, first-aid and fire protection equipment at the workplace. • Ensure timely Accident / Near Miss Reporting and follow up on corrective and preventive actions. • Conduct regular inspections of: • PPE • Lifting Tools Tackles • Scaffolding • Electrical Equipment • Fire Safety Equipment • Other safety-critical equipment • Coordinate employee safety engagement and motivational initiatives such as Near Miss Reporting Schemes . • Issue and monitor work permits for: • Hot Work • Work at Height • Lifting Operations • Excavation • Confined Space Entry • Coordinate and promote safety awareness events such as National Safety Day, Fire Service Day, World Environment Day , etc. • Support and coordinate internal and external audits related to OHSAS/ISO and other EHS requirements. • Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, procedures and statutory requirements. • Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely closure of safety observations and corrective actions. • Promote a proactive safety culture and continuously improve workplace safety practices. • Be willing to work in rotational shifts as required. Mandatory Skills Qualifications • PDIS / ADIS qualification. • 37 years of relevant experience in Industrial Safety / EHS , preferably in a manufacturing environment. • Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices, hazard identification and risk assessment. • Hands-on experience in safety inspections, incident investigation and safety training. • Knowledge of Permit-to-Work systems and industrial safety procedures. • Willingness to work in rotational shifts . Preferred Skills • PDIS qualification preferred. • Experience in handling EHS audits and compliance . • Exposure to OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 . • Experience in conducting mock drills and emergency preparedness activities. • Good communication, coordination and training skills. • Strong knowledge of PPE, fire safety, lifting safety, scaffolding and electrical safety.
