JOB DESCRIPTION CUTTING MANAGER Position: Cutting Manager Department: Garmenting / Cutting Industry: Garment Manufacturing / Apparel Export Location: Bangalore, Karnataka Experience: 815 years Reporting To: Production Head / Factory Head JOB SUMMARY We are looking for an experienced Cutting Manager to manage and control the complete cutting operations of the garmenting division. The role involves planning, CAD/marker coordination, fabric spreading, cutting, numbering, bundling, quality control, manpower management, fabric utilization, and timely feeding of cut panels to the sewing department. The candidate should have strong knowledge of garment cutting processes, fabric handling, production planning, CAD marker efficiency, and cutting-room management. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Manage the complete cutting department operations from fabric receipt to cut-panel issue to sewing. • Prepare daily and monthly cutting plans in line with production requirements and shipment schedules. • Coordinate with Planning, Merchandising, Production, CAD, Stores, Quality, and Purchase teams. • Review fabric availability, order requirements, size ratios, consumption, and cutting priorities. • Ensure proper fabric inspection before spreading and cutting. • Plan and control fabric relaxation, spreading, marker making, cutting, numbering, bundling, and panel checking . • Ensure markers are prepared according to approved patterns, fabric width, size ratio, and production requirements. • Monitor marker efficiency, fabric consumption, and cutting wastage . • Ensure proper fabric shade segregation and identification of lots before cutting. • Control spreading parameters such as ply height, fabric tension, alignment, edge matching, and lay length. • Ensure cutting is carried out accurately as per approved patterns and specifications. • Monitor and minimize cutting defects, panel mismatch, notches, drill errors, and re-cuts. • Ensure proper numbering, bundling, ticketing, and size-wise segregation of cut panels. • Ensure timely feeding of cut components to the sewing/production line. • Maintain daily cutting production reports, fabric utilization reports, wastage reports, and efficiency reports. • Analyze cutting performance and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and reduce wastage. • Manage manpower effectively, including cutting supervisors, CAD operators, spreaders, cutters, numbering, bundling, and helpers . • Train and develop cutting-room staff on quality, productivity Disclaimer: This job posting and Location has been aggregated from external source.
