Role & responsibilities 1. Responsible for Procurement activities for direct materials and traded products, ensuring cost-effective sourcing and uninterrupted supply. 2. Manage sourcing and procurement of commodities including carbon brushes, copper winding wires, cables, stampings, bars, pipes, bought out pumps, motors, controllers, and other standard bought-out components. 3. Develop and manage supplier contracts, Framework agreements, and commercial negotiations to ensure favourable terms and compliance. 4. Maintain SAP MM master through MDM. 5. Identify, evaluate, audit, qualify, and develop suppliers to strengthen the supply base and support business growth. 6. Drive supplier performance improvement initiatives focused on quality, PPM reduction, and on-time delivery. 7. Support cost optimization through strategic sourcing, value analysis, supplier negotiations, and cost reduction programs. 8. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to align procurement strategies with organizational objectives. 9. Prepare detailed cost analyses and cost breakups for new business awarding, initial price settlements, and periodic price revisions. 10. Foster long-term supplier relationships while ensuring adherence to quality, delivery, and commercial expectations. Preferred candidate profile Requirement profile: Formal education: Professional experience: In years: Defined competencies: BE- Mechanical, MBA in Materials Management Experience in Engineering Industry is preferred. 8-10 Years for BE & 10 -12 yrs for DME candidates Functional Skills: • Knowledge about commodity index. • Must have Knowledge of Advanced excel, PowerPoint • Knowledge of Supplier Management • Knowledge of Products, Manufacturing Processes. • Knowledge of SAP-MM Module and MS Office. • Knowledge of Commercial and Taxation. • Exposure to Integrated Management System. • Negotiation & Networking Skills.
