Backup Administrator(Linux)

Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled Backup Administrator with a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in enterprise backup environments and exposure in Linux administration. The candidate will be responsible for managing backup and recovery infrastructure, ensuring data protection, troubleshooting backup issues, and supporting disaster recovery operations. Key Responsibilities • Administer and maintain enterprise backup infrastructure. • Manage backup, restore, and recovery operations across critical environments. • Monitor backup jobs, identify failures, and perform timely resolution. • Implement and manage backup policies, retention schedules, and storage optimization. • Perform Disaster Recovery (DR) testing and recovery exercises. • Troubleshoot Linux server issues impacting backup operations. • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Storage, Database, Cloud, and Application teams. • Create and maintain operational procedures and documentation. • Perform capacity planning and ensure backup compliance requirements are met.
