Job Requirements Role/Job Title: Business Analyst – IMPS Application Function/Department – Cards & Payments Location – Navi Mumbai – Airoli Processing Centre (Gigaplex Office) Job Summary - A Business Analyst is responsible for end-to-end delivery, stability, and enhancement of the bank’s Immediate Payment Service (IMPS) platform , enabling real-time interbank fund transfers. The role ensures high availability, low latency, and regulatory compliance while leading cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient real-time payment capabilities . Key Responsibilities • Own the lifecycle of IMPS initiatives: requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support. • Manage roadmaps and delivery plans for new IMPS features (P2P/P2M, mandate flows, enhancements, migrations) and NPCI-driven regulatory and scheme changes • Ensure adherence to delivery timelines, budget, and quality benchmarks • Lead impact analysis and re-planning for change requests • Act as the primary interface for business teams (Payments, Retail Banking, Digital Channels), Operations, Risk, and Compliance • Coordinate with NPCI and partner banks and Third-party vendors and payment switch providers • Conduct Governance meetings and RAID tracking and reporting • Ensure timely resolution of dependencies and escalations • Oversee CI/CD pipelines and environment setup (Dev, SIT, UAT, Pre-Prod, Prod) • Ensure stable integration testing with NPCI environments • Define and manage deployment strategies (blue-green/canary where applicable) and rollback plans and change procedures • Ensure CAB approvals and release governance compliance • Enforce strict quality gates for IMPS transaction flows • Manage defect triage and production defect reduction • Drive automation in regression and performance testing • Ensure 24x7 availability of IMPS platform • Define and monitor SLAs, SLIs, and SLOs • Lead incident response and root cause analysis (RCA) as well as post-incident reviews and preventive improvements • Strengthen monitoring dashboards, alerting mechanisms and failover and DR drills • Ensure compliance with NPCI guidelines and circulars, RBI mandates, AML/KYC and fraud detection frameworks • Implement strong security controls for Encryption and secure APIs, Tokenization and authentication (2FA where applicable) • Maintain audit documentation, access controls and logs, and address vulnerabilities through collaboration with InfoSec teams • Oversee MPS transaction reconciliation (inward/outward) • Daily settlement processes with NPCI • Ensure accuracy in dispute handling, chargeback processing and exception management • Work with operations teams to improve automation and STP rates • Strong expertise in IMPS architecture and flows, NPCI ecosystem and payment switch integration and Real-time payments processing • Knowledge of Messaging protocols (ISO 8583 / ISO 20022), APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures, Database systems and high-volume transaction processing and Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Splunk, ELK, AppDynamics, etc.) Education Qualifications : Graduation: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) / Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) Post-Graduation: Master of Science (M.Sc) /Master of Technology (M.Tech) / Master of Computer Applications (MCA) Experience : 5 – 10 Years
