**Job Title** Business IT Officer **Location** Mumbai (with travel as required) **Frequency of Travel** Moderate **Team Size** Will build and lead a team (Business Analysts, Product Specialists, Automation Leads, Data Migration Specialists) **Experience** 12+ Years in Business/IT/Product/Transformation roles **Designation** Business IT Officer **Compensation** Competitive — basis experience and fitment **Academic Qualifications** - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Science - MBA in Operations, Product Management, or Project Management will be preferred - Certifications in Product Management, Project Management, Agile, Scrum, Automation, or Digital Transformation will be an added advantage **Role Summary** The Business IT Officer works closely with business leaders and the CTO organization to define technology solution roadmaps, prioritize application feature / technology delivery initiatives, optimize operational processes, and ensure technology investments deliver measurable business outcomes. The ideal candidate combines deep technology knowledge and a solid understanding of software product development lifecycles, enterprise architecture principles, and data-driven decision-making. Evaluating existing platform landscape, determining what can be enhanced versus what needs to be rebuilt, and ultimately driving the creation of a unified, scalable technology solution is the primary KRA. The role will own the full lifecycle from business perspective — from requirement gathering and vendor/IT coordination, to platform build, data migration, team building, and adoption. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of business operations and technology, and who has the vision and execution ability to build something from the ground up. **Key Responsibilities** **Business and Technology Alignment** - Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams. - Understand business strategy, objectives, capabilities, and operating models. - Translate business requirements into technology initiatives, product features, and architectural requirements. - Facilitate alignment between business priorities and technology roadmaps. - Drive business capability mapping and process optimization initiatives. **Business Architecture and Solution Design** - Develop and maintain business capability models and business architecture artifacts. - Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation, digitization, and optimization. - Translate business architecture into: - Technology architecture requirements - Data architecture requirements - Integration requirements - Application architecture requirements - Create the requirement specifications and work with the technology teams from the CTO organization on the new feature development / customizations. - Act as the key stakeholder from the business on the technology architecture decisions. **Platformization and Consolidation** - Conduct a thorough audit of all existing internal tools from a platformization perspective, breaking the silos and optimizing the use of various tools (addressing integration gaps, redundancies, and scalability limitations) - Work with the CTO to define a clear technology and product roadmap: determine what to retain, what to enhance, and what to rebuild into a unified platform - Drive the vision of a single integrated platform where all tools communicate seamlessly and processes run with minimal manual intervention **Platform Development & Enhancement** - Lead the development of new features, tools, and integrations — including AI layers, - Drive platform testing, UAT, implementation, change management, and user adoption across all teams - Ensure all platforms are scalable, secure, and built for future growth **Data Migration** - Own the end-to-end data migration strategy when moving from existing tools to new or enhanced platforms - Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and zero loss during any system transitions - Coordinate with IT teams and vendors to execute migration in a phased, risk-controlled manner **Team Building & Leadership** - Build and lead a high-performing team comprising Business Analysts, Product Specialists, Automation Leads, and Data Migration Specialists - Set clear goals, manage delivery timelines, and foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement within the team **Vendor & Stakeholder Management** - Evaluate, onboard, and manage external technology vendors, product partners, and implementation teams - Provide regular updates to leadership on project progress, risks, and milestones **Essential Attributes** - Strong ownership mindset , treats the platform as a product, not a project - Ability to work across both business and technology functions with equal comfort - Proven experience in building, transforming, or scaling platforms from fragmented setups into mature, business-critical systems - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complexity into clarity - Excellent stakeholder management — ability to engage leadership, ops teams, IT, and vendors simultaneously - High degree of accountability, self-motivation, and drive to deliver in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment **Desired Attributes** - Exposure to AI, automation, and digital transformation technologies - Familiarity with tools such as ATS platforms, HRMS, payroll systems, or ERP environments - Understanding of data privacy, compliance, and security standards in technology deployments
