A. Job Purpose • Supervise aircraft interior and exterior cleaning and grooming activities. • Ensure compliance with Air India standards for cleanliness, hygiene and safety. • Manage outsourced cleaning staff across all the shifts. • Oversee Pest control activities and ensure schedule follow up. • Coordinate and on carpet curtain and upholstery changes. Update the records and inspect the quality of work. • Conduct inspection on quality of grooming and upkeep before aircraft release. • Check the material used for cleaning of the aircraft. • Provide a detailed report at the end of each shift. B. Key Accountabilities Operational Supervision • Monitor and manage aircraft grooming, pest control and material replacement during scheduled and unscheduled flights. • Ensure grooming is completed within allocated turnaround time. Shift and Manpower Management • Supervise outsourced ground handler staff and assign tasks based on flight schedules. • Conduct shift briefings and ensure manpower is utilized effectively Quality Control and standards Compliance. • Conduct visual inspections post cleaning and escalate any non-conformance. • Ensure all work adheres to safety and Air India SOPs Material and Equipment Checks • Track the material used for cleaning various areas. Ensure the material conforms the requirement. • Check the dilution ratio. Keep record of MSDS sheets and COC. • Check the equipment and material availability, quality and quantity. GHA Training • Train the GHA on use of material at various surface, standby standards, grooming of the cabin, basic mannerism and self checks. Reporting and documentation • Maintain shift logs, audit records, pest control documentation and certification. Aircraft inspection checklist records, incidence report and handover to the next shift. • Update the trackers, report incidences. C. Skills Required for the role • Knowledge of aircraft cleaning and grooming • Ability to supervise and guide the team • Strong observation and inspection skills • Shift planning and resource management • Pest Control knowledge and safety protocols • Effective communication skills • Basic computer literacy • Safety awareness. D. Key Performance Indicators Operational Performance • On-time Departure and Turnaround Time • Number of audits non conformities per shift/ • Incident Report • Customer Satisfaction Scores • Documentation of checklists • Aircraft grooming and Manage well groomed departures on all sectors. • Reduce Wastage • Control misuse of AI products.Notify the quality of product used on board. E. Key Interfaces Internal Interfaces • Engineering SIC • Aircraft coordination for various planned activities. • WO request and closure. Station Manager • OTP • Last minute requests or schedule changes Cabin Crew Department • Aircraft handover. • Return sector loads. • Stand by on board Safety Department • Safety audits • Audit findings and closures. Stores and Inventory Control • Requirement of upholstery and carpets or curtains External Interfaces Ground Handling Agent (GHA) Team Suppliers and Vendors • Day to Day service. • SOP follow up and deviations. • Manpower availability and resource management. Regulatory Authorities • Extension of vehicle AEP. • Ramp safety team. F. Educational and Experience Requirements Minimum Education Requirement • Graduate from a recognized university or Hotel Management background. Minimum Requirement Desired Experience • Fresh graduates from any discipline may apply Preferred • 0-2 years of experience from any relevant industry is preferred • Experience in supervision of the aircraft. • Experience handling blue collared teams. • Exposure to cabin activities like carpets, upholstery and curtains. • Knowledge of safety management. • Knowledge of Aviation approved material and its related documents.
