Role & responsibilities Job Summary: The Chief Electrical Engineer will lead the electrical design and operations across multiple data center sites. This role is critical in developing and implementing cutting-edge electrical solutions that enhance the reliability, efficiency, and autonomy of our data centers, ensuring they meet the highest standards of operational excellence and innovation. Key Responsibilities: 1. Advanced Electrical System Design and Innovation: • Design and oversee the implementation of sophisticated electrical architectures that support high reliability and future scalability. Focus on integrating new-generation technologies to move towards fully autonomous data center operations. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry advancements and integrate innovative technologies and solutions to keep the data centers at the forefront of the industry. 2. OEM Partnerships and Product Expertise: • Cultivate strong relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to understand and leverage the best and latest in electrical system components and solutions. • Utilize deep OEM insights to enhance system designs and solve complex challenges in electrical implementations. 3. Rapid Fault Identification and Resolution: • Lead quick-response teams to promptly address and resolve any electrical incidents, minimizing downtime and operational disruption. • Develop robust processes and criteria for fast-track Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrence of issues. 4. Leadership and Strategic Insight: • Mentor and manage a diverse team of electrical engineers and technicians across various locations, promoting a culture of technical excellence and innovation. • Ensure all team members are aligned with the companys strategic goals and continue to meet and exceed industry standards. 5. Company and Safety Excellence: • Guarantee that all electrical systems and projects comply with national and international standards, and adhere to regulatory and environmental requirements. • Champion a safety-first culture, implementing rigorous protocols and continuous training for all team members. 6. Project and Resource Management: • Efficiently manage multiple large-scale projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with technical specifications. • Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and forecasting to ensure optimal efficiency and resource utilization. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred. • At least 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role specifically within data center sector.
