The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the operational risk framework to ensure that our organization's processes, controls, and procedures are designed and implemented to mitigate risk and achieve strategic objectives. This role is crucial in protecting the company’s assets and maintaining operational efficiency **Duties And Responsibilities** - Identify and assess operational risks. - Design and implement risk mitigation strategies. - Ensure compliance with regulations and standards. - Prepare and present risk reports. - Oversee incident investigation and response. - Develop and deliver risk management training. - Continuously improve risk management processes. - Engage with stakeholders and provide expert advice. - Develop and maintain risk management policies. - Monitor key risk indicators and performance metrics. **Key Decisions / Dimensions** - Prioritizing Risks: Assessing which risks addressing first based on impact and likelihood. - Mitigation Strategies: Selecting appropriate measures and controls to manage identified risks. - Compliance Actions: Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards. - Incident Response: Deciding on actions to manage and minimize the impact of operational incidents. - Resource Allocation: Allocating budget and resources for risk management initiatives. - Training Programs: Designing and implementing risk management training for staff. - Policy Development: Creating and updating risk management policies and procedures. - Stakeholder Communication: Determining the content and frequency of risk reports and updates. - Risk Monitoring: Choosing key risk indicators and metrics for ongoing tracking. - Change Management: Managing risks associated with organizational changes and new projects. **Major Challenges** An Operational Risk Manager faces challenges such as adapting to evolving risks like cyber threats and regulatory changes, managing complex and interconnected operations, and ensuring compliance with shifting regulations. They must handle large volumes of data, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and respond swiftly to incidents. Balancing limited resources, fostering a risk-aware culture, and integrating risk management across departments are key challenges. Additionally, they must address risks from organizational changes and technology dependencies while continuously monitoring and reporting on risk indicators. **Required Qualifications And Experience** - Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in finance, Operations and Risk Management, Business Administration, Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., FRM, CRM) are preferred. - Should have experience in handling inter department projects - Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills - Excellent Microsoft Excel and Power Point Presentation skills - Work Experience - Minimum of 5+ years of experience in operational risk management, internal audit, or a related field. - Demonstrated experience in risk assessment, control implementation, and incident management.
