#### **Mission of the Role: support market scouting for low cost suppliers development** #### **Key Objectives of this Role:** - Supplier Identification and Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers in low-cost regions. Analyze market trends, labor costs, and geopolitical factors affecting supplier viability. Utilize tools like trade databases, industry directories, and networking at trade shows to discover new suppliers. Work on strategic initiatives such as supplier development programs or joint process improvements. Maintain and update a database of vetted low-cost suppliers. - Cost Analysis: Benchmark costs across different suppliers and regions to determine competitive pricing. Negotiate terms, including pricing, payment conditions, and delivery schedules, to secure optimal value. - Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with low-cost suppliers, such as logistical challenges, quality issues, and geopolitical instability. Develop contingency plans for potential supply chain disruptions. Ensure compliance with trade regulations, customs, and import/export laws in both the sourcing country and the company's operational regions. Collaborate with internal stakeholders engineering, quality, product line to align supplier capabilities with business needs. #### **Key Year One Deliverables:** - Initial low cost Supplier Database established for Categories with continuous improvement - Cost reduction plan through new supplier involvement activity #### **Technical Knowledge and Skills** - Bachelor or above degree in relevant field or equivalent job experience - 7+ years of experience in automotive industry, functional of commodity purchasing, supply management and procurement - Sound knowledge in the Automotive commodities, prefer experience in Electronics Components such as Electronic Mechanical Mechanical parts - Strong team work and result focus oriented - Fluent in business English, and good presentation and writing skills Disclaimer : This job posting has been aggregated from external source.
