About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 11The Team: This position is in the fast-growing and high performing Middle East and Indian Subcontinent (MDEI) consulting team of the Oil Markets, Midstream & Downstream (OMD) Consulting in S&P Global’s Energy division. We advise clients on crude oil, refined product, storage, retail markets and custom scenarios in the MDEI region and support our clients’ understanding of the increasing interdependence between crude markets, refining, petrochemical, energy transition & mobility. Our clients range from leading NOCs, Governments, Lenders, Investment companies, and industry bodies. We will continue leveraging our extensive regional experience, capabilities, and synergies with other S&P Global teams to deliver an aggressive growth plan in the next four years. Responsibilities & Impact:• Lead and develop a team of high performing consultants in our Gurgaon office • Effectively manage entire consulting project as Project Manager, managing project resources and progress against the project plan to ensure on-time delivery of a quality set of deliverables. • Lead client meetings and presentation of project reports and BD initiatives.• Apply energy industry knowledge to a variety of market designs and situations as required by client needs• Develop the team’s business in the region by actively managing allocated clients, reaching out to potential clients, preparing pitch decks and envisaging Business Development initiatives for consulting• Participate in client or industry events and share key takeaways that impact the consulting team’s work and priorities• Support positioning S&P Global and our team as the go-to consultancy for OMD, energy transition and key transactional projects in the region. We are proud to have developed many pivotal market strategies for many NOCs, Independents and key stakeholders in the region and acted as commercial advisors in several recent large capital formation deals in the region. Our consulting projects create real advancement in the region and industry.What We’re Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications: • 15+ years of experience in the oil, refining & energy industry within operational, consulting or leading engineering companies related to the segment• Minimum qualifications are bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical or industry related engineering, candidates with a master’s degree in one of the above-listed disciplines or MBA are highly preferred• Proven leadership experience & qualities that can contribute to development and growth of a high performing team• The candidate should be able to demonstrate expertise in the downstream segment, having a high-quality professional network in the region will be a significant plus • Proven client facing, analytical and quantitative skills are required• Must have an analytical mindset, experience of using AI and advanced analytical tools and be prepared to use data to back up opinions• Strong written and oral presentation skills in English• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment, influencing stakeholders, providing ideas and open feedback whilst maintaining an environment of teamwork is essential• Once priorities are agreed upon, the ability to work with autonomy with minimal direction is required• Travel is required on average around 20% of the time (but could occasionally be more) About S&P Global EnergyAt S&P Global Energy, our comprehensive view of global energy and commodities markets enables our customers to make superior decisions and create long-term, sustainable value.
