Job description

• LLB with 5–6 years of relevant experience, preferably in an in-house role within a multinational organisation (Financial Services, Asset Management, or Information Technology industries preferred). • Experience in reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts across both technology and non-technology engagements, including cloud services (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS), outsourcing, software licensing, market data, consulting, facilities, and profeesional services (staff augmentation, consulting etc.). • Knowledge of cloud outsourcing regulatory frameworks (e.g., ESMA, EBA, DORA) and their application to technology contracts. • Ability to assess commercial and legal risk relating to technology and outsourcing regulatory compliance. • Familiarity with current technology trends such as AI, GenAI, platform integration, data processing, and their legal and regulatory implications. • General understanding of how technologies work, including APIs, data security / backups, Cloud Escrow, and SaaS/IaaS/PaaS deployments and cloud security. • Strong oral and written communication skills; excellent judgment; business sense. • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills. • Commercial judgement, business acumen, pragmatic and a solutions-oriented mindset. • High ethical standards and professional integrity. • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters in parallel. • Experience working on cross-border contracts and international engagements. • Genuine interest in technology and emerging tech – someone who keeps up with developments in AI, GenAI, cloud, blockchain and data privacy because they want to, not because they have to. • Experience with contract management systems, e-signature platforms, and other legal technology tools is desirable. • Self-starter, research-oriented and self-driven – able to take ownership of new and evolving matters with limited supervision, independently learn about new technologies, understand their contractual and regulatory implications, and translate that into practical guidance for stakeholders as the organisation’s technology priorities change. • Comfortable presenting complex tech/regulatory topics to non-legal audiences using presentations, diagrams and practical examples. • Demonstrated adaptability, collaboration, and a proactive approach. • Positive, pro-active attitude suited to be a team member within a dynamic business environment. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
