Job Description JobDescription:DataCenterTeamLeader Organization: LG Soft India (Bangalore) PositionTitle: Data Center Team Leader Location: Bangalore, India Experience: 8 to 15 Years EmploymentType: Full Time JobSummary We are looking for an experienced and proactive Data Center Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Data Center infrastructure and support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, reliability, security, and performance of data center operations while leading a team of engineers and administrators. The role requires strong technical expertise in data center technologies, infrastructure management, incident handling, and team leadership. KeyResponsibilities • Lead and manage the Data Center Operations team. • Ensure continuous availability and smooth functioning of Data Center infrastructure. • Monitor and maintain servers, storage systems, network devices, and virtualization platforms. • Manage Data Center power, cooling, rack space, and environmental controls. • Plan and execute preventive maintenance activities. • Coordinate hardware installations, upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning activities. • Drive incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem resolution. • Ensure compliance with IT security policies, audit requirements, and industry standards. • Manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes. • Monitor infrastructure performance and implement improvement initiatives. • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and service providers. • Prepare operational reports, capacity planning reports, and management dashboards. • Ensure adherence to SLA, KPI, and operational excellence standards. • Mentor, guide, and develop team members through regular performance reviews and training programs. RequiredTechnicalSkills • Strong experience in Data Center Operations and Infrastructure Management. • Hands-on experience with: • Servers (Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Cisco UCS) • Storage Technologies (SAN, NAS, EMC, NetApp, Pure Storage) • Virtualization Platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) • Windows Server and Linux Administration • Network Infrastructure (Switches, Routers, Firewalls) • Backup Solutions and Disaster Recovery • Knowledge of Data Center Power, Cooling, and Environmental Monitoring Systems. • Experience with Monitoring Tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG, or equivalent. • Understanding of ITIL processes, Incident Management, Change Management, and Problem Management. • Familiarity with Cloud Platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is preferred. LeadershipRequirements • Proven experience in leading and managing technical teams. • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. • Ability to handle high-priority incidents and critical escalations. • Experience in vendor management and service delivery governance. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. EducationalQualification • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related discipline. • Relevant certifications are preferred: • ITIL Foundation • VMware VCP • Microsoft Certifications • Cisco Certifications (CCNA/CCNP) • Data Center or Cloud Certifications PreferredSkills • Capacity Planning and Resource Optimization. • Data Center Migration and Consolidation Projects. • Automation and Infrastructure Management Tools. • Information Security and Compliance Standards. • Project Management exposure.
