Overview Key Responsibilities: • Lead the GDPR implementation and compliance efforts across the organization. • Conduct thorough GDPR risk assessments and impact analyses. • Develop and implement GDPR compliance policies and procedures. • Train and educate staff on GDPR requirements and best practices. • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance. • Monitor data protection compliance and data processing activities. • Manage data breach response and reporting procedures. • Perform regular audits to ensure ongoing GDPR compliance. • Stay updated with the latest developments in data protection laws and regulations. • Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure the implementation of technical safeguards. • Document and maintain records of processing activities. Responsibilities Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in law, Information Technology, Business, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred. • At least 10 years of experience in data protection, privacy laws, or GDPR compliance. • Professional certification such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or similar is mandatory • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Experience with data protection impact assessments, data protection principles, and data breach management. Skills and Competencies: • Deep understanding of data protection and privacy regulations along with Project management skills. • Ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements in a clear and concise manner. • Strong ethical standards and commitment to privacy and data protection. • Proficiency in using data protection management tools and software. Preferred Experience: • Experience working in a similar role within a multinational organization. • Familiarity with other global data protection regulations such as CCPA, HIPAA, APPI, DPDPA, POPIA, PIPEDA etc. • Experience in a legal advisory role or as a Data Protection Officer (DPO).
