Job Description Responsible for managing the IT Disaster Recovery Framework (ITDR) including developing strategies, policies and plans to support the business needs. Mid-Senior level DR experience with focus on ITDR with technical DR experience. A candidate with strong Disaster Recovery experience that could step in and drive a series of our plans to closure. A candidate who could review and critique the existing plans and enhance the overall DR approach . Responsibilities RESPONSIBILITIES • The Disaster Recovery Manager is responsible for the hands-on management of the Disaster Recovery program. This position requires a proven subject matter expert with demonstrated competency in the planning, development, program execution, maintenance and testing of the Enterprise Disaster Recovery. • Additional responsibilities include risk, controls and compliance management, supporting DR audit activities, and development and maintenance of policies, standards and procedures that are aligned with the best practices (NIST, BCP handbook). Familiarity with fundamental IT concepts, infrastructure and data center technologies is required. This position will require communication and coordination across the organization – the Disaster Recovery Manager must demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Role And Responsibilities For The Disaster Recovery Manager. Management (20%) Perform all administrative activities, including staff meetings, attendance, monthly status reporting, strategic planning, documentation, and other activities, as assigned, in a timely manner. Disaster Recovery Planning (50%) • Ensure that DR plans and strategies are up to date, aligns to current business conditions, and could be used to support the recovery objectives of the organization within required time frames • Ensure that critical applications have a fully documented, tested, executable plans that contain all the information for a successful recovery. • Proactively review existing and proposed plans for recoverability effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement. • Review recovery priorities, timelines, and strategy for proper sequence of recovery components. • Support review and maintenance of business continuity policy, standards and processes and ensure DR plans aligns to the policies. • Work closely with various stakeholders, including Business Continuity management team, Infrastructure team, Information Security team, business stakeholders to develop / maintain recovery procedures and to enhance the efficiency and success of the Disaster Recovery operations • Provide guidance and support on business continuity matters, eg to other DR plan owners in their periodic tests and self-assessing their control environment. • Design, schedule, and coordinate execution of DR tests exercises for critical business processes • Develop and document operational procedures in relation to services delivered by the DR team • Respond to adverse events that occur in the region and identify any impact on data / infrastructure assets and/or operational impact • Coordinate DR recovery in case of a disaster • Regularly report DR activities to upper management • Develop, review and maintain third party contracts for hardware and telecom services for Disaster Recovery hardware equipment and location resources. • Drive teams to work towards automation on all recovery procedures DR Operations (30%) • Train the teams in the correct implementation of DR processes, standards and impart training to ensure recoverability of business processes and systems • Setup annual testing calendar, coordinate and execute DR tests for all critical business applications • Ensure post-recovery reviews are held, observations identified, and have owners assigned to corrective and preventative actions. • Track corrective and preventative actions to completion and escalate if necessary • Provide evidence to support customer / external audits Qualifications ABOUT US At Zensar, we’re “experience-led everything” .
