Role & responsibilities Electrical Maintenance • Maintain HT/LT electrical distribution systems. • Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant equipment. • Maintain transformers, DG sets, MCCs, PCCs, ACBs, VCBs, APFC panels, and UPS systems. • Troubleshoot electrical faults and minimize downtime. • Monitor power consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives. Automation & Control Systems • Maintain and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems. • Program and modify PLC logic as required. • Maintain communication networks such as Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and CAN. • Commission and troubleshoot VFDs, servo drives, motion control systems, and industrial robots. • Maintain industrial automation software and backups. Instrumentation • Maintain sensors, transmitters, encoders, load cells, temperature controllers, pressure switches, and flow meters. • Perform calibration and ensure instrument accuracy. • Troubleshoot field instruments and control loops. Project Execution • Execute electrical and automation projects from planning to commissioning. • Good hands on experience in executing projects on Energy Savings. • Prepare technical specifications, BOQs, and drawings. • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal departments. • Ensure projects are completed within budget and schedule. Documentation • Maintain electrical drawings, SLDs, panel layouts, PLC programs, and backup files. • Prepare maintenance reports and root cause analysis (RCA). • Update preventive maintenance records and spare parts inventory. Safety & Compliance • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory regulations. • Implement Lockout-Tagout-Try Out (LOTOTO) procedures. • Participate in electrical inspections and safety audits. • Ensure compliance with ISO, Electrical Inspectorate, and statutory requirements. Continuous Improvement • Improve machine reliability and reduce breakdowns. • Identify automation opportunities to increase productivity. • Implement Kaizen, TPM, Lean, and energy conservation initiatives. Required Skills • PLC Programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, Delta, etc.) • HMI & SCADA (WinCC, FactoryTalk, Wonderware, Ignition, etc.) • VFDs and Servo Drives • Robot (Kawasaki, Fanuc, Yaskawa) • Industrial Networking • Electrical Distribution Systems (HT/LT) • Motor Control & Protection • Electrical Drawings (AutoCAD/EPLAN) • Instrumentation & Calibration • Spare planning & Inventory Management • Root Cause Analysis • Preventive & Predictive Maintenance • Project Management • MS Office and SAP (preferred) Educational Qualification • B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or Instrumentation & Control Engineering. Experience • B.E./B.Tech.: 812 years in manufacturing or process industries.
