**POSITION/ ROLE** Executive R&D – Electronics (Design Validation and Reliability Engineer) LOCATIONFaridabad **ROLE PURPOSE** The Testing & Validation (DVP) Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting Design Verification & Validation (DVV/DVP) activities for Air Conditioner products. The role ensures product reliability, safety, regulatory compliance, and field robustness before SOP and market launch. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** **1. DVP Planning & Ownership** Prepare DVP&R (Design Verification Plan & Report) aligned with product requirements and standards. Define test strategy, scope, acceptance criteria, and timelines across development phases. Ensure coverage for functional, performance, reliability, environmental, safety, and regulatory tests. **2. Testing & Validation Execution** Execute and coordinate testing for: o Functional & performance validation o Environmental & climatic tests (temperature, humidity, dust) o Reliability & endurance tests o Electrical safety & insulation tests o EMI/EMC precompliance and compliance tests Validate IDU, ODU, electronics, inverter systems, sensors, and controls. **3. Standards & Regulatory Compliance** Ensure compliance with applicable standards: o BIS / IEC / IS standards o BEE / ISEER requirements o OEM / exportspecific standards where applicable Coordinate with NABL/accredited labs for thirdparty testing and certification. **4. Failure Analysis & CAPA** Analyze test failures, deviations, and anomalies. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) in coordination with design teams. Track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to closure. Support DFMEA and risk mitigation activities. **5. CrossFunctional Coordination** Work closely with Design (HW/SW/Mechanical), NPD/NPI, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supplier teams. Support pilot builds, line trials, and early production validation. Provide validation inputs during design reviews and gate releases. **6. Documentation & Reporting** Prepare detailed test plans, test reports, deviation notes, and validation summaries. Maintain traceability between requirements, tests, and results. Support management reviews, audits, and certification submissions. **7. Lab & Test Infrastructure** Support development and upkeep of testing setups, fixtures, jigs, and automation. Ensure proper calibration and compliance of test equipment. Contribute to continuous improvement of validation processes. **ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES** **1. Technical Skills** Strong knowledge of DVP/DVV methodologies AC system testing: refrigeration cycle, electronics, inverter drives Environmental, reliability, EMI/EMC, and safety testing Data analysis and report writing Failure analysis techniques (5Why, Fishbone, FMEA) **2. Domain Knowledge** Air Conditioner systems (IDU/ODU, controls, compressors, motors) Indian operating conditions and usage patterns Understanding of manufacturing and pilot validation needs **3. Behavioral Skills** Strong analytical and problemsolving skills Attention to detail and documentation discipline Ability to work under tight development timelines Effective crossfunctional communication **KEY DELIVERABLES / KPIS** DVP completion on time and on quality Reduction in pilot and early field failures Firsttime passing rate in certification tests Robustness and repeatability of validation results **WORK EXPERIENCE (In Years)** > 4 Years **QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED** B.E/BTech/ME/MTech (Electronics/E&C/E&TC/E&E/Mechatronics **OPERATIONAL REPORTING** Manager– Electronics (RAC)
