Statutory Compliance • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and statutory regulations. • Monitor adherence to the Factories Act, Industrial Relations Code, CLRA, PF, ESI, Minimum Wages Act, and other labor legislations. • Liaise with labor authorities, factory inspectors, and government officials. • Manage statutory audits, inspections, and compliance documentation. Contract Labor Management • Oversee deployment and compliance of contract workforce at the yard. • Ensure contractor compliance related to labor licenses, wages, welfare, PF, ESI, and statutory obligations. • Conduct periodic contractor audits and compliance reviews. • Monitor manpower strength and workforce discipline. Disciplinary & Legal Matters • Handle disciplinary cases, domestic inquiries, and misconduct investigations. • Draft charge sheets, warning letters, and disciplinary communications. • Coordinate with legal teams for labor court and industrial dispute matters. • Maintain records related to disciplinary and legal cases. Employee Engagement & Welfare • Implement employee welfare initiatives and grievance-handling mechanisms. • Conduct awareness sessions on workplace policies and labor law requirements. • Support employee communication programs and workforce engagement activities. • Promote a positive work culture and dispute prevention measures.
