Job Description - Immigration Expert / Consultant Function: Global Mobility Location: Bangalore Experience: 8-10 years Role Overview The Immigration Expert will drive end-to-end global immigration operations across key regions including Canada, Europe, Middle East (ME), and APAC. This role will ensure compliant, efficient, and business-aligned immigration support, and will also drive data-led decision making by building robust immigration analytics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to support business and leadership decisions. Key Responsibilities 1. End-to-End Immigration Management • Manage complete lifecycle of immigration cases: • Work permits, business visas, intra-company transfers, PR pathways • Assess and recommend appropriate visa/work permit categories aligned to business needs • Ensure accurate documentation, filings, and case tracking across geographies 2. Regional Expertise (Canada, Europe, ME & APAC) • Provide subject matter expertise across: • Canada: ICT, GTS, PR pathways • Europe: EU work permits, Blue Card, country-specific rules • Middle East: UAE/KSA work permits and labor compliance • APAC: Singapore, Australia, and key regional markets • Track regulatory changes, quotas, and processing timelines 3. Immigration Compliance & Risk Management • Ensure adherence to: • Immigration laws and country-specific regulations • Internal policies and compliance frameworks • Identify and proactively mitigate immigration risks • Support audits, reviews, and exception handling 4. Stakeholder & Vendor Management • Partner with HR, TA, Finance, and Business Leaders • Coordinate with immigration vendors and legal counsel • Track vendor SLAs, quality, and escalations 5. Advisory & Business Partnering • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on: • Immigration feasibility and timelines • Role eligibility vs visa eligibility alignment • Support workforce planning and global expansion decisions 6. Process Excellence & Automation • Standardize and optimize immigration processes globally • Drive automation and operational efficiency initiatives • Improve turnaround times and service quality 7. Data Management, Analytics & Reporting (Critical) • Manage and analyze immigration case data at scale • Build and maintain MIS dashboards and reporting frameworks • Track key metrics including: • Case volumes, processing timelines, SLA adherence • Approval/rejection trends and risk indicators • Generate insights to: • Support decision-making and workforce planning • Identify process gaps and compliance risks • Improve cost management and vendor performance • Leverage tools such as: • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, dashboards, analytics) • Case management / tracking systems Key Skills & Competencies Core Expertise • Strong experience in multi-country immigration (Canada, EU, ME, APAC) • Deep understanding of visa/work permit categories and compliance frameworks Data & Analytics (Must-Have) • Strong proficiency in data management, analytics, and reporting • Experience working with large datasets and dashboarding tools • Ability to translate immigration data into actionable business insights • High proficiency in Excel and reporting tools Business & Stakeholder Skills • Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability • Excellent communication and advisory skills • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, global environment Qualifications • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) • 8-10 years of relevant global immigration experience • Experience working with global immigration vendors / Immigration firms preferred Required Skills
