Employee Relations Specialist Job Description Job Title: Employee Relations Specialist Report to: Associate General Counsel Business Function: Legal, TEKsystems and Aston Carter. Location: Commerce @Mantri office, Bannerghatta, Bangalore, India 1. 2. Position Summary The Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for managing workplace concerns, conducting investigations, advising leaders on employee matters, and ensuring consistent application of company policies and employment practices. The role serves as a trusted advisor to managers, Human Resources (“HR”) Business Partners, Operation and Business helping to mitigate risk, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and organisational standards. Key Responsibilities a. Serve as the primary point of contact for Employee Relations (“ER”) matters, providing guidance and support to managers, HR Business Partners, Operations and Business team. b. Manage end-to-end ER cases, including grievances, misconduct, policy violations, workplace conflicts, performance-related matters, and employee grievance. c. Conduct employee related inquires including fact gathering, documentation review, findings analysis, and recommendation of corrective actions. Depending on the nature or severity of the complaint, partner with and escalate matters to the Legal team, which may lead formal investigations. d. Assess and mitigate legal, compliance, operational, and reputational risks associated with employee matters, partnering with appropriate stakeholders as required. Promptly escalate to the Legal team any matter that could likely to become litigious or is litigious in nature. e. Advise business leaders on the interpretation and application of company policies, employment practices, workplace standards, and ER procedures. f. Create, review, and enhance ER policies, SOPs and investigation frameworks. g. Partner closely with HR, Legal, Compliance, Information Security, and business leadership teams to resolve complex and sensitive employee issues. h. Maintain accurate case documentation, reporting, and records while ensuring confidentiality i. Track and analyse trends across ER cases (e.g., recurring complaints from a particular team, function, or manager, or repeated types of policy violations) to identify root causes and translate findings into practical recommendations such as policy updates, provide relevant training or relevant stakeholder coaching. j. Conduct training and awareness programs on workplace conduct, and other ER topics to relevant departments in collaboration with the Legal team. k. Manage administrative and system-related tasks supporting the Legal team’s day-to-day operations, including contract lifecycle management tools, document management systems, and procurement-related activities. 3. 4. 5. Key Skills a. Excellent drafting and report writing and case documentation skills b. Strong verbal and written communication skills. c. Ability to conduct employee related inquires and fact finding, including gathering, analysing, and documenting relevant information. d. Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to collaborate effectively with HR, Legal, Business and Compliance team. e. Sound judgement in handling sensitive and confidential matters. f. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and recommend practical and legally compliant resolutions. Educational Qualification and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s or master’s degree in HR or a related field, with 3-5 years of relevant experience in ER, workplace investigations, or employee grievance management. Experience in managing complex ER matters and conducting workplace investigations. Demonstrated ability to partner with senior business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders. Experience in developing policies, training materials, and process improvements is preferred. Working Conditions This role follows a hybrid work model, with a requirement to work from the office four (4) days per week and remotely one (1) day per week.
