Role Summary The Launch Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end product/program launches from design phase through industrialization and successful handover to manufacturing. The role requires strong program management, cross-functional leadership, and solid electronics/software product understanding to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery. Key Responsibilities 1. Program Management • Drive overall program execution from concept to production launch. • Track milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables across functions. • Ensure adherence to timelines, cost targets, and quality requirements. • Manage change requests and escalation handling. 2. Stakeholder Management • Act as single point of contact between engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and leadership teams. • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including customers. • Conduct program reviews and provide clear status reporting. 3. Cross-Functional Team (CFT) Leadership • Lead cross-functional teams across hardware, software, manufacturing, and operations. • Facilitate collaboration to resolve technical and operational challenges. • Drive accountability and ownership within teams. 4. Execution & Delivery (Get-Things-Done Approach) • Ensure action closure and problem resolution with urgency. • Remove blockers impacting program milestones. • Support rapid decision making during critical phases. 5. Electronics & Software Understanding • Understand electronics product development lifecycle. • Work closely with hardware, embedded software, and validation teams. • Support integration activities and technical reviews. 6. Industrialisation & Manufacturing Readiness • Lead transition from design to manufacturing. • Coordinate DFM, PFMEA, process validation, and production readiness. • Ensure smooth ramp-up and stable mass production launch. 7. Communication & Reporting • Provide clear program status updates to senior management. • Prepare launch dashboards and review materials. • Maintain transparent communication across all stakeholders. Required Qualifications • Bachelors/Masters in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field. • 10–15 years experience in automotive electronics / electronics manufacturing. • Strong experience in program/launch management. • Exposure to SMT / electronics manufacturing processes is an advantage. • Proven industrialization and product launch experience.
