**Urgent Opportunity for the role of Lead Cost Controller Aurangabad site** **Position Summary** **To monitor, control, and optimize project costs throughout the project lifecycle by ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis while supporting project delivery within approved financial limits.** **Key Responsibilities** ***1. Project Cost Planning & Budgeting*** Prepare detailed **project budgets and cost baselines** in coordination with project teams. Develop **Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)** and allocate costs accordingly. Assist in **cost estimation** inputs during tendering and project initiation phases. ***2. Monitoring Cost & Control*** Track actual project costs vs budget on a **monthly/quarterly basis**. Identify cost deviations and highlight **cost overruns or savings opportunities**. Ensure strict adherence to approved budget limits ***3. Variance Analysis*** Conduct **budget vs actual variance analysis**. Analyze key cost drivers like: Materials, Labor, Equipment, Subcontracting. Recommend corrective actions for adverse variances. ***4. Forecasting & Cash Flow Management*** Prepare **cost forecasts** and update **Cost to Completion (CTC)**. Develop and monitor **cash flow projections**. Track project financial performance trends. ***5. Cost Reporting*** Generate periodic cost reports such as: Cost Performance Reports (CPR), MIS reports, Monthly cost dashboards. Present insights to **project managers and senior management**. ***6. Contract & Billing Control*** Monitor **vendor/subcontractor billing and payments**. Verify invoices against work progress and contract terms. Support in **client billing/certification processes**. ***7. Change & Risk Management*** Evaluate **change orders / variation orders** and their financial impact. Track and manage **claims, risks, and contingencies**. Ensure proper documentation and approvals. ***8. Coordination & Stakeholder Management*** Work closely with: Project Managers, Planning Engineers, Procurement teams, Finance teams. Provide financial insights for decision-making. ***9. Systems & Compliance*** Use ERP systems (e.g., **SAP and internal Tools/systems**) for cost tracking. Ensure compliance with: Company financial policies, Audit requirements, Cost control procedures **Education:** - Postgraduate or masters degree in construction / project management OR Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management. 5+ years of experience in managing EPC projects specifically in the domain of project controls
