**Location:** Chennai (Porur) **Company:** Tata Projects Limited **Department:** Finance & Accounts **Reporting To:** Finance Controller / Regional Finance Head **Position Summary** We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented **Accounts Manager** to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, statutory compliance, project accounting, and internal controls for ongoing construction and engineering projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong experience in EPC, construction, or engineering organizations and demonstrate expertise in managing end-to-end accounting processes. Key Responsibilities - Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations for project sites and regional offices. - Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards and company policies. - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports. - Monitor project-wise cost accounting, budgeting, and variance analysis. - Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor reconciliations, and customer billing. - Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements. - Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits. - Review and monitor cash flow, fund utilization, and working capital requirements. - Support financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes. - Ensure timely closure of books of accounts and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. - Drive process improvements and strengthen internal financial controls. - Liaise with banks, consultants, government authorities, and project stakeholders as required. **Desired Candidate Profile** **Educational Qualification** - **CA Inter** OR - **MBA Finance** - Additional certifications in Accounting, Taxation, or ERP systems will be an added advantage. Experience - 7 to 12 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts. - Mandatory experience in **Engineering, EPC, Infrastructure, Construction, or Project-based organizations**. - Experience in project accounting and construction accounting is highly preferred. **Technical Skills** - Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliances. - Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control. - Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms. - Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis. **Behavioral Competencies** - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. - High level of integrity and attention to detail. - Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment and manage multiple priorities. **Preferred Industry Background** Candidates currently working with or having prior experience in: - Engineering Companies - EPC Organizations - Infrastructure Projects - Construction Companies - Industrial Projects Compensation Best in industry and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
