Role Overview We are looking for a Finance Manager with a strong background in finance, reconciliation, reporting, automation, and analytical problem-solving. The role will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, timely reporting, effective review controls, and continuous improvement of finance processes through automation and data-driven analysis. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, stakeholder-management capabilities, and the ability to independently manage multiple finance activities while driving process improvements. Key Responsibilities 1. Reconciliation & Financial Controls • Lead and oversee periodic reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. • Review reconciliation outputs, identify variances, investigate exceptions, and ensure timely closure. • Establish appropriate review and control mechanisms for finance processes. • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve discrepancies. 2. Ageing Analysis • Monitor and review ageing reports and outstanding balances. • Analyse ageing trends, identify risk areas, and drive timely resolution of long-pending items. • Provide management with analytical insights and recommendations based on ageing data. 3. MIS Reporting • Oversee preparation, validation, and publication of MIS & periodic finance reports. • Ensure reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with management requirements. • Analyse key financial trends and variances and highlight actionable insights. 4. Balance Confirmation • Manage the balance-confirmation process and ensure timely completion with relevant stakeholders. • Review confirmation results and investigate differences or exceptions. • Maintain appropriate documentation and audit trails. 5. Finance Automation & Process Improvement • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive and manual finance activities. • Work with automation/technology teams to develop and implement efficient solutions. • Evaluate existing processes and drive standardisation, simplification, and control improvements. • Track the effectiveness and benefits of implemented automation initiatives. 6. Reports Analysis • Oversee preparation and review of management reports and other finance-related reports. • Perform financial and analytical reviews to support business decisions. • Translate financial data into meaningful insights and recommendations for management. • Handle ad-hoc analysis and reporting requirements as needed. 7. Team Management & Review • Manage, guide, and review the work of team members responsible for reconciliation, ageing, reporting, and related finance activities. • Establish clear ownership, review processes, and performance expectations. • Ensure timely delivery of all assigned activities with high standards of accuracy and quality. Key Skills & Competencies • Strong Finance and Accounting knowledge. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong understanding of reconciliation, ageing, financial reporting, and controls. • Ability to interpret large datasets and identify trends, exceptions, and financial risks. • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools. • Exposure to finance automation, process improvement, and reporting automation. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within tight timelines. • Strong team-management and review capabilities. Preferred Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business, or a related field. • Relevant experience in finance operations, reconciliation, MIS/reporting, financial analysis, or controllership.
