Role & responsibilities: • Formulate and implement security strategies across Torrent Power Distribution premises & properties in assigned territory ensuring adherence to corporate security standards and regulatory requirements. • Direct and mentor Assistant Managers, Executives and outsourced security teams to maintain discipline, operational excellence, and proactive threat mitigation. • Conduct advanced security risk assessments, vulnerability audits, and forensic investigations of incidents. Recommend systemic improvements and preventive measures. • Oversee deployment, maintenance, and modernization of integrated electronic security systems (CCTV, access control, perimeter protection, AI-based surveillance). • Build strategic partnerships with law enforcement, district administration, and regulatory bodies for compliance, emergency response, and intelligence sharing. • Ensure readiness and execution of emergency response plans, crisis protocols, evacuation drills, and business continuity frameworks. • Prepare and control security budgets, manpower planning, vendor evaluation, and contract governance for outsourced services. • Design and deliver advanced training programs, awareness campaigns, and leadership development for security personnel and internal stakeholders. • Maintain comprehensive documentation, statutory compliance, audit readiness, MIS reporting, and implement corrective actions for audit findings. • Provide corporate leadership with periodic risk intelligence, strategic recommendations, and security posture improvement plans. Preferred candidate profile: • Background from Armed Forces • Colonel with minimum 2 years experience/posting as Colonel Or Lt. Colonel with at least 5 years experience/posting as Lt. Colonel • Minimum 5 years tenure in Corporate/Manufacturing post Armed Forces retirement - heading the security function. • Expertise in risk assessment, emergency response, crisis management, and high-level incident handling. • Advanced understanding of physical security infrastructure, surveillance systems, security automation, and technology implementation. • Excellent coordination, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills including handling external authorities.
