Job Description **POSITIONDESCRIPTION** JOBTITLE Manager-Vigilance GRADE AVP-I DEPARTMENT Vigilance LOCATION RO/Branch SUB-DEPARTMENT NA TYPEOF POSITION Full-time REPORTSTO RegionalManager Vigilance REPORTINGINTO SpecialistVigilance ROLEPURPOSE OBJECTIVE - Thisrole will develop a culture of corrective and preventive riskmechanism in the assigned state. - Thisrole will safeguard the bank from fraudulent employees, customersand outsiders. SIZEOF THE ROLE FINANCIALSIZE NON-FINANCIALSIZE - NA - Noof vendors: 1 to 2 - Noof consultants: 2 to 4 KEYDUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE **Business/Financials** - Ensurethat the cluster/state is manned adequately, so that the businessrisk is controlled Responsible for meeting the expenses budgetand review it quarterly. - Responsibleto check and cross-check the billing submitted by various vendorsfor the department. - Appointrequisite vendors for vigilance process keeping in mind, cost,time and quality parameters - Responsibleto implement measures improving efficiency with lower costs atcluster/state level. **Customer(Both Internal External)** - Ensurethat the organization is represented positively in various localindustry body meetings and forums. - Ensureto render support when asked for by distribution and otherfunctions. - Maintainappropriate relationships with vendors to ensure delivery ofquality Vigilance services while applying evaluation mechanismsand assignment of responsibilities - Responsiblefor strictly following SLA for all internal customers. - Responsiblefor creating a business friendly environment at the cluster/statelevel so that there exists no barrier for information sharing. - Establishworking relationship with local govt. authorities in areas ofoperations **InternalProcess** - Ensurephysical security of the branches from concerned cluster/state isreviewed in a periodic manner and appropriate changes to be doneconsidering the updated conditions, in conjunction with otherstakeholders as Admin, Channels and Business. - Riskrating of branches from concerned cluster/state to be reviewedevery six months and assessment of the same to be ensured for allbranches in the region, same to be also communicated toOperations and Risk for deciding on the CRL limits. - Ensurethat the investigation gets completed end-to-end along withrequired action after studying the modus operandi for every majorfraud. - Ensurethat the customer fraud cases and critical OD cases are visitedby the team and recommended for resolution, including Policecomplaints, FIR and involvement of police consultants ifrequired. - Ensurehalf-yearly Security Survey to be completed for the region forassessment of risks on filed during cash transit. - Responsibleto provide complete and detailed review of frauds and, complianceto appropriate XBRL reporting to RBI within stipulated timeframesfrom the date of detection of fraud, as per the circulars issuedby RBI. - Investigationof frauds related to ATM withdrawals, fake calls, IMPStransactions, fake advertisements and reaching to the root causeof the same with the help of forensic experts available in theteam. - Studyof market trends to understand new frauds with different channelslike cyber, remittances, debit card, etc., and communication ofthe same to Regional Manager. - EnsureVigilance angle is checked for the Area surveys happening in thestate/cluster and confirming the law and order situation in thelocation, also getting new premises suggested by admin checkedfrom vigilance angle. - Assistingcompliance team in carrying out vigilance investigations for AMLcases and suggesting them on a way-forward for closure of suchcases with the help of regional manager. - Ensureeach branch is visited once in a quarter by the officers and thefindings are shared with seniors and followed up for correctiveaction, if any. Additionally, all the security cameras anddevices should be checked periodically during the visits. - Ensurethat all the investigations and trouble-shooting is conductedwithout disturbing the business decorum and in an agreed TAT. - Identifyinternal process lapses and suggest corrective measures to arrestrisk.
