**Job Title: Mechanical Sourcing Manager** **Location: Mysuru** Experience: 10 15 Years Qualification: Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering Industry: Aerospace / Defence **Job Summary**: We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Sourcing Manager with strong expertise in sourcing, vendor development, and cost management for Machining, Casting, Stamping, and Sheet Metal components. The ideal candidate should have extensive exposure to Aerospace & Defence products, supplier management, and technical sourcing activities with the ability to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage sourcing activities for Machining, Casting, Stamping, and Sheet Metal components. • Develop and qualify suppliers for Aerospace & Defence projects. • Handle RFQs, supplier evaluation, techno-commercial discussions, and finalization. • Analyze engineering drawings, manufacturing feasibility, and component costing. • Drive vendor development and part development activities. • Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal cross-functional teams during project execution. • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms with suppliers. • Ensure compliance with Aerospace & Defence quality requirements and ISO/AS standards. • Monitor supplier performance related to quality, cost, and delivery. • Implement cost reduction initiatives through VA/VE and alternate sourcing methods. • Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time availability of parts for production. • Ensure adherence to company purchasing policies and procurement procedures. **Required Skills & Competencies:** - Strong exposure to Aerospace & Defence segment products and technical requirements. • Experience in sourcing Machining, Casting, Stamping, and Sheet Metal parts. • Good understanding of manufacturing processes and component costing. • Strong vendor development and supplier management skills. • Excellent negotiation and influencing abilities. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Knowledge of ISO / AS Standards and Aerospace quality systems. • Understanding of purchasing processes and supply chain management. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. **Preferred Candidate Profile:** - Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering. • 10 to15 years of relevant experience in Aerospace / Defence sourcing. • Experience in handling engineering components and development projects. • Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement documentation.
