Role & responsibilities 1. Design & Engineering Coordination • Review and interpret design documents, engineering drawings, and specifications to ensure constructability. • Identify and resolve design discrepancies, interferences, or system clashes across architectural, structural, and MEP services. • Manage multidisciplinary BIM/CAD models (using tools like Revit and Navisworks) for 3D clash detection. • Prepare and review Builders Work Drawings and fabrication drawings. 2. Procurement & Vendor Management • Review technical submittals, material specifications, and equipment schedules from MEP subcontractors for compliance. • Provide technical inputs to the procurement team to assist in vendor and subcontractor evaluation. • Monitor fabrication schedules, delivery timelines, and logistics for heavy MEP equipment. 3. Site Execution & Quality Control • Provide technical advice and clarifications to the on-site construction and civil teams. • Conduct routine site inspections to monitor the quality of MEP service installations. • Ensure all installations comply with the National Building Code (NBC), ASHRAE, NFPA, or relevant local statutory regulations. • Oversee the closure of non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure sign-off from consultants for concealed work. Preferred candidate profile • Education: Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. • Experience: 14 to 21 years of relevant experience in MEP design, coordination, and site execution, preferably within large-scale EPC projects (e.g., high-rises, industrial, or pharma). • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Revit. Strong knowledge of MEP space planning, shaft sizing, and service routing. • Soft Skills: Exceptional stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and the ability to negotiate with subcontractors.
