**Department:** Protecton **Location:** Chennai **Designation:** OEM Manager **Reports To:** State Head **Role Overview:** The OEM Manager will be responsible for driving business development and key account management for Protective Coatings in the OEM segment. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing existing OEM relationships, ensuring product approvals, and achieving sales targets through strategic engagement with OEMs, design consultants, and engineering teams. **Key Responsibilities:** **1. Business Development & Sales** - Identify and acquire new OEM customers in engineering equipment, fabricated structures, machinery, industrial components, electrical panels, capital goods, heavy engineering, etc. - Drive sales growth and achieve revenue, volume, and profitability targets for the assigned territory. - Develop and implement OEM-wise business plans aligned with Berger Protective Coatings strategy. **2. Key Account Management** - Maintain strong relationships with key decision-makersproduction heads, purchase teams, quality teams, R&D, and design teams at OEMs. - Ensure smooth coordination between OEMs, Berger technical teams, and supply chain to meet customer expectations. - Manage approvals, pricing, negotiations, and long-term contracts with OEM customers. **3. Technical & Product Support** - Facilitate product trials, performance evaluations, and technical presentations for OEM customers. - Work closely with the Technical Service team to resolve quality issues, application challenges, or product performance concerns. - Ensure compliance with customer quality standards and specifications during product application. **4. Market Intelligence & Strategy** - Track competitor activities, new technology trends, and market developments in the OEM segment. - Provide insights to the Product Management/Marketing team for category development and new product introduction. - Identify gaps in current offerings and support the development of customized solutions for OEM clients. **5. Coordination & Reporting** - Monitor team and enhance the sales and connection. - Maintain accurate sales forecasts, monthly reports, and customer follow-ups in CRM tools. - Ensure timely collections and adherence to credit policies. **Key Skills & Competencies:** - Strong understanding of industrial/ protective coatings. - Good knowledge of OEM manufacturing processes, surface preparation, and coating application practices. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. - Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and handle technical-commercial discussions. - Strategic thinking with strong customer relationship management abilities. **Qualification & Experience:** - **Education:** B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical, Chemical, Paint Technology) or relevant technical degree. MBA preferred. - **Experience:** 810 years of experience in OEM sales, industrial coatings, protective coatings, or related fields. **Desired Personality Traits:** - Self-driven, result-oriented, and customer-focused. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
