Panel Operator - Boiler

Job description

Role: Panel Officer Boiler Reporting to: Shift Incharge - CPP Purpose: To perform safe and economical DCS operation of boiler, ash handling and coal handling system and ensure continuous availability of boiler. Responsibility: • Manage the operations of boiler from DCS control panels. • Monitor control panel data and alarms, taking corrective actions as needed to maintain safe and efficient operations. • Startup / Shutdown as per operating procedures. • Instruct and interact clearly with field operators for making necessary changes in the field and co-ordinate with shift engineer, and for proper line up and related safety aspects. • Record boiler parameters and other necessary data. • Provide back up to turbine field officer on Turbine DCS when turbine field officer is on field round. Educational Qualification: B.E./ B.Tech Mechanical Years of Experience: 5 to 8 years of experience in similar capacity Knowledge: • Knowledge of boiler DCS operation. • Knowledge of CFBC Boiler. • Knowledge of boiler parameters, interlocks, water chemistry, etc. • Knowledge of equipment startup/ shutdown, maintenance and troubleshooting. • Knowledge of turbine interlocks.
