The ideal candidate is a confident communicator who takes ownership of every conversation and adapts quickly to different customer profiles. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead Engagement • Call and connect with pre-qualified/warm leads provided by the marketing or database team — no cold calling involved. • Initiate conversations promptly to ensure high lead responsiveness and minimal drop-off. Needs Assessment & Counselling Handoff • Check and gauge genuine intent of each lead through structured, need-based questioning. • Understand user preferences, goals, and concerns to personalize the conversation. • Clearly explain the offering/program and address preliminary queries. • Schedule and facilitate a smooth handover by helping qualified leads join a session with the Senior Counsellor. Pipeline & Follow-Up • Maintain accurate and updated records of every lead interaction in the CRM. • Follow up consistently with leads who are not immediately ready to proceed, nurturing them until they are counselling-ready. • Coordinate with the Senior Counsellor team to ensure calendar availability and timely session confirmations. Reporting • Share daily/weekly call and conversion reports with the reporting manager. • Provide feedback on lead quality and customer sentiment to help refine the outreach process. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED • Fluent English Communication — Clear, confident verbal communication with strong listening skills. • Takes Agency — Proactively owns the lead from first call to counsellor handoff, without needing constant supervision. • Adaptability — Comfortable adjusting tone and approach based on the customer's profile, mood, and preferences. • Consultative Selling Mindset — Focuses on understanding needs first, rather than pushing a hard sell. • Active Listening & Rapport Building — Builds quick trust and keeps leads engaged through genuine conversation. • Objection Handling — Addresses hesitations and doubts calmly and confidently. • Time & Pipeline Management — Manages a high volume of daily calls while keeping follow-ups on track. • CRM / Basic Computer Proficiency — Comfortable logging calls, updating lead status, and scheduling sessions on CRM/calendar tools. • Positive, Resilient Attitude — Stays motivated through repetitive outreach and occasional rejection. • Team Collaboration — Works closely with Senior Counsellors and the sales team for seamless lead handoff. ELIGIBILITY • Graduate in any discipline (preferred, not mandatory). • 0–3 years of experience in inside sales, tele-calling, pre-sales, or customer engagement roles; freshers with strong communication skills are welcome to apply. • Prior experience in an EdTech, BPO, or consultative sales environment is an added advantage.
