About Role: We are looking for a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer - LSR Process to drive process development, automation, and manufacturing excellence in LSR (Liquid Silicone Rubber) Process Engineering . This role offers an opportunity to work on advanced automation, glass preparation processes, and continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities – Mechanical Engineer, LSR Process • Lead the development, qualification, and manufacturing release of LSR (Liquid Silicone Rubber) processes, ensuring compliance with quality, reliability, and customer requirements. • Drive process development activities related to glass cleaning, glass preparation, LSR removal, primer application, plasma treatment, and associated mechanical operations. • Plan, execute, and monitor process trials, process characterization studies, and validation activities to establish robust manufacturing processes. • Analyze process performance data, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions to improve yield, productivity, quality, and cycle time. • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA), FACA, and failure investigations for process-related issues, and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions. • Act as the technical subject matter expert for glass handling, chemical handling, automation systems, and mechanical process improvements within the LSR manufacturing environment. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Tool Design, Automation, Maintenance, and Industrial Engineering to resolve technical challenges and support production requirements. • Review and optimize automation concepts, machine parameters, tooling designs, and process controls to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce defects. • Prepare, review, and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, Risk Assessments, and other technical documents. • Support customer audits, process reviews, and technical discussions by presenting process capability data, investigation reports, and improvement initiatives. • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on productivity enhancement, cost reduction, process standardization, scrap reduction, and operational excellence. • Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices for chemical handling, machine operations, and manufacturing processes while promoting a strong safety culture. • Coordinate with equipment suppliers, automation vendors, and external partners for equipment selection, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, and process optimization. • Monitor critical process parameters and establish process control strategies to ensure consistent product quality and manufacturing stability. • Provide technical guidance and training to engineers, technicians, and operators on process standards, troubleshooting methodologies, and best practices. • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities by evaluating manufacturability, developing process solutions, and ensuring seamless transition from development to production. Qualification & Experience • B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics. • 7-8 years of relevant manufacturing/process engineering experience.
