Exide Energy Solutions Ltd is setting up Indias first Giga plant to manufacture Lithium Ion Cells in Bengaluru. Exide Energy Solutions Limited is looking for Equipment Engineers in the Manufacturing organisation to achieve company’s goal at the Devanahalli, Bangalore Location. The purpose of the Equipment Engineer optimizes equipment performance to support efficient, high-quality in Li-Ion cell production. They resolve issues, drive improvements, and minimize downtime, ensuring a reliable and adaptive manufacturing environment. Role & responsibilities • Ensure the seamless operation of manufacturing equipment for a designated production segment, including lift assists, jigs, fixtures, trolleys, and more. • Maximize equipment efficiency and performance to maintain high-quality output standards. • Continuously monitor and enhance production processes to boost operational effectiveness. • Lead troubleshooting initiatives and implement sustainable solutions to equipment-related issues. • Tailor equipment specifications and requirements based on product needs and production demands. • Work closely with process, control, and manufacturing engineering teams, as well as other support teams, to ensure alignment on production objectives. • Support the manufacturing engineering team during field construction and commissioning activities. • Oversee projects aimed at optimizing production processes and facilities. Preferred candidate profile • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. Relevant experience and demonstrated ability will also be considered. • Background in a technology-driven industry that uses automated production techniques, such as packaging, filling, automotive, clean room, dry room, or chemical processing. • At least 5 years of proven experience in Equipment engineering within a manufacturing environment. • Proficient in CAD (SolidWorks, Catia preferred) for designing equipment, fixtures, and tooling. • Skilled in mechanical assembly and fastener selection. • Experienced in introducing new equipment and processes. • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. • Effective communication and teamwork skills. • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous Desired Skills • Strong grasp of automated systems robotics, vision systems, conveyors, PLCs, HMIs. • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
