Job Description Public Affairs Team Member Role: Public Affairs Entry Level Location: Delhi Organisation: Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd Role Overview: The Public Affairs team is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to support the Banks engagement with the Government, Regulators, Policymakers, Industry Associations, and other key external stakeholders. The role will involve policy and regulatory research, stakeholder mapping, maintenance of institutional databases and intelligence repositories, monitoring of relevant government and regulatory developments, preparation of briefing materials, and coordination of stakeholder engagements. The position offers an opportunity to develop a strong understanding of the public policy environment, government institutions, regulatory frameworks, and their implications for the banking and financial services sector. Key Responsibilities: • Monitor and track policy, legislative, regulatory developments relevant to the Bank and the broader financial services sector. • Conduct research and prepare concise notes, background papers, policy briefs, stakeholder profiles, and briefing materials. • Maintain and regularly update structured databases and institutional knowledge repositories covering relevant government officials, regulators, policymakers, ministries, departments, regulatory institutions and other key stakeholders. • Develop and maintain stakeholder profiles capturing publicly available professional information such as current responsibilities, career history, institutional affiliations, areas of responsibility, and other relevant professional insights. • Track appointments, transfers, promotions, changes in responsibilities, committee memberships, and other institutional developments involving relevant government and regulatory officials. • Build institutional intelligence repositories on ministries, departments, regulators, government agencies, parliamentary committees, industry bodies, and other institutions relevant to the Bank. • Ensure that databases and intelligence repositories are accurate, current, structured, searchable, and maintained in accordance with applicable data privacy requirements and the Banks internal policies. • Prepare stakeholder maps, institutional maps, engagement histories, meeting records, and briefing notes to support effective stakeholder engagement. • Support the preparation of senior management meetings with government officials, regulators, policymakers, industry associations, and other external stakeholders. • Maintain records of stakeholder engagements, key discussion points, commitments, follow-up actions, and relevant institutional developments to strengthen organisational memory and continuity. • Monitor government notifications, regulatory consultations, policy announcements, speeches, reports, and other developments relevant to the Bank. • Analyse developments in the political economy and public policy environment and identify emerging issues, risks, and opportunities relevant to the Bank. • Support the preparation of presentations, dashboards, periodic reports, and updates for senior management. • Assist the team in organising meetings, roundtables, conferences, stakeholder engagements, and other Public Affairs initiatives. Desired Qualifications : • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, Law, International Relations, Public Administration, or a related discipline. • 0–2 years of relevant experience in public affairs, public policy, government relations, regulatory affairs, consulting, research organisations, industry associations, financial services, or related fields. • Fresh graduates with strong research, analytical, and writing capabilities are also welcome to apply. Key skills and attributes : • Interest in government, public policy, regulations, economy etc. • Strong research and analytical capabilities, • Good written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to synthesize large volumes of information into concise and decision useful briefs Note: Graduates/post graduates from Tier 1/Tier 2 institutes of 2023, 2024, and 2025, 2026 batches will preferred.
