Job Title: Quality Nurse Company Name: Manipal Hospitals Job Description: The Quality Nurse at Manipal Hospitals will be responsible for monitoring and enhancing the quality of patient care and safety within the institution. This role involves conducting audits, participating in quality improvement projects, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Quality Nurse will collaborate closely with clinical staff to develop and implement evidence-based practices, review quality metrics, and facilitate staff education on quality initiatives. Additional responsibilities include evaluating patient outcomes, identifying areas for improvement, and contributing to the development of best practices in patient care. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct regular audits and assessments of clinical practices to ensure compliance with quality standards - Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives - Analyze patient care data and quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement - Educate staff on quality improvement processes and best practices - Participate in the development and review of clinical protocols and policies - Assist in preparing reports and presentations on quality performance for management and regulatory bodies - Support the implementation of patient safety initiatives and risk management strategies Skills and Tools Required: - Strong understanding of quality improvement methodologies and patient safety principles - Excellent analytical skills for data interpretation and trend analysis - Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clinical teams - Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards - Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and data management software - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills - Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment - Experience in nursing with a focus on quality assurance and improvement is preferred - Certification in quality improvement or healthcare accreditation (such as CPHQ) is a plus **Roles and Responsibilities** To succeed in this role – you should have the following: - A valid nursing degree and current nursing registration. - Strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and their families. - A commitment to providing exceptional patient care and maintaining a compassionate approach. - Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
