Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to facilitate Agile delivery and ensure Scrum best practices are effectively implemented across teams. The Scrum Master will act as a servant leader, helping teams achieve their goals by removing impediments, fostering collaboration, and driving continuous improvement. This role requires strong facilitation, coaching, stakeholder management, and Agile delivery experience. The position supports HSBC, with employment managed through Allegis Group. Key Responsibilities Scrum Facilitation • Facilitate Daily Scrum/Stand-up meetings and ensure effective team collaboration. • Drive Sprint Planning sessions and assist teams in effort estimation and prioritization. • Conduct Sprint Reviews and gather stakeholder feedback. • Lead Sprint Retrospectives and identify improvement opportunities. • Ensure Scrum ceremonies are conducted effectively and consistently. Team Coaching & Leadership • Act as a Servant Leader and Agile Coach for the development team. • Mentor team members on Agile and Scrum principles. • Conduct one-on-one discussions to address challenges and support team growth. • Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous learning. • Promote collaboration between development teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders. Process & Delivery Management • Manage Scrum boards and ensure accurate tracking using Jira. • Monitor sprint progress through burndown charts and Agile metrics. • Identify and remove blockers impacting delivery timelines. • Support backlog refinement and prioritization activities. • Drive adherence to Agile best practices and organizational standards. Continuous Improvement • Identify opportunities to improve team productivity and workflow efficiency. • Implement process enhancements and Agile maturity initiatives. • Encourage innovation and adoption of Agile best practices. • Support Agile transformation initiatives across the organization. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or similar Agile leadership role. • Strong understanding of Scrum principles, ceremonies, and Agile methodologies. • Hands-on experience with Jira, Agile reporting, and Scrum metrics. • Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills. • Experience working with cross-functional technology teams. • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a dynamic environment. Preferred Qualifications • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification. • Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Enterprise Agile environments. • Knowledge of Agile scaling frameworks is an added advantage.
