Section Head- Bauxite Handling & Grinding (Alumina Refinery-Technical)

Job description

Location Utkal Alumina International Limited (UAIL), Rayagada, Odisha Industry Aluminium / Alumina Refinery / Metals & Mining / Chemical Process Industry Key Responsibilities • Monitor and control Bauxite Handling, Conveying, Crushing, and Grinding operations to ensure uninterrupted production. • Track critical process parameters through DCS and MIS systems and ensure adherence to production KPIs. • Analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities and enhance process efficiency. • Ensure optimum utilization of grinding media, energy, and other consumption factors. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reliability, and cost performance. • Coordinate with maintenance teams to enhance equipment reliability and minimize downtime. • Investigate process deviations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. • Maintain process documentation, operational reports, and MIS dashboards. • Support inventory management of bauxite, grinding media, and other consumables. • Ensure environmental compliance, particularly related to dust suppression and material handling systems. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for troubleshooting and implementation of optimization projects. • Conduct technical training and knowledge-sharing sessions for operations and maintenance teams.
