Exide Energy is committed to powering the future with cutting-edge technology and global industry standards. **Job Overview:** Quality Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance within Formation area. This includes implementing quality policies, procedures and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer expectations lead a team of quality professionals, drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of quality within the department. To ensure success as a quality Engineer, he should have a strong working knowledge of mathematical concepts, excellent visual awareness and the ability to lead a group of associates. **Roles & Responsibility: (Formation)** - Develop and implement quality control procedure to ensure that manufacturing processes meet quality standards and spec. - Ensure strict monitoring of all Li-ion Cell Formation process parameters (Pre-Charge, Capacity grading etc). - Establish inspection protocols and perform regular audits to identify and address deviations from quality standards. - Work closely with engineering, production and performance validation teams to identify opportunities for quality improvement and drive implementation of process enhancements. - Lead quality improvement projects (yield improvement, scrap reduction) - Provide training and guidance to manufacturing personnel on quality control procedures and best practices. - Foster a culture of quality excellences and continuous improvement throughout the organization. - Investigate root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions. - Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track quality performance and initiate corrective actions as needed. - Follow the accreditation to ISO IATF 16949 standard requirements. - Follow the periodic inspections as per the Procedures, control plan, Sops. - Implementation of improvement projects (Kaizens/ Poka-Yoke /ECR’s/ QCC facilitation) - Ensure readiness for internal and external audits **Roles & Responsibilities: (Electrode)** - Develop and implement quality control procedure to ensure that manufacturing processes meet quality standards and spec. - Ensure strict monitoring of all electrode process parameters (mixing, coating, drying, calendaring, slitting). - Establish inspection protocols and perform regular audits to identify and address deviations from quality standards. - Work closely with engineering, production, and R&D teams to identify opportunities for quality improvement and drive implementation of process enhancements. - Lead quality improvement projects (yield improvement, scrap reduction) - Provide training and guidance to manufacturing personnel on quality control procedures and best practices. - Foster a culture of quality excellences and continuous improvement throughout the organization. - Investigate root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions. - Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track quality performance and initiate corrective actions as needed. - Follow the accreditation to ISO IATF 16949 standard requirements. - Follow the periodic inspections as per the Procedures, control plan, Sop’s. - Implementation of improvement projects (Kaizens/ Poka-Yoke /ECR’s/ QCC facilitation) - Ensure readiness for internal and external audits. **Roles & Responsibilities: (Assembly)** - Develop and implement quality control procedure to ensure that manufacturing processes meet quality standards and spec. - Ensure strict monitoring of all Li-ion Cell Assembly process parameters (Winding, Stacking, cell assembly). - Establish inspection protocols and perform regular audits to identify and address deviations from quality standards. - Work closely with engineering, production, and R&D teams to identify opportunities for quality improvement and drive implementation of process enhancements. - Lead quality improvement projects (yield improvement, scrap reduction) - Provide training and guidance to manufacturing personnel on quality control procedures and best practices. - Foster a culture of quality excellences and continuous improvement throughout the organization. - Investigate root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions. - Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track quality performance and initiate corrective actions as needed. - Follow the accreditation to ISO IATF 16949 standard requirements. - Follow the periodic inspections as per the Procedures, control plan, Sop’s. - Implementation of improvement projects (Kaizens/ Poka-Yoke /ECR’s/ QCC facilitation) - Ensure readiness for internal and external audits **Qualification & Experience:** - Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mechanical or a related field. - Min 5 years of experience in management role. - Preferred industry: Battery/ Automobile/ EV - Hands on Experience in Quality tools, SPC, FMEA, 8D is preferred. **Skills:** - Inspection plans and Control plans for all the related tests in the product realization process. - Specific knowledge of quality management systems, e.g., ISO 9001, IATF16949, 14001 - Familiar with SPC, Quality tools. - Familiar with the battery cell evaluation process and standards. - Teamwork - 5S maintain in workplace. - Communication skills
