**Job Summary** We are seeking a highly technical and experienced **Sr. Project Engineer Planning & Engineering** to lead the design, planning, and deployment of **Automated Parcel Handling Systems** and **Infrastructure Projects**. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management capabilities, expertise in **AutoCAD layout design**, and comprehensive knowledge of **electrical and mechanical engineering principles** related to automation and material handling systems. This role involves managing projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and schedule while achieving operational performance objectives. **Key Responsibilities** Project Management & Execution - Lead end-to-end infrastructure and automation projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. - Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies. - Monitor project progress and proactively address challenges, delays, and bottlenecks. - Coordinate on-site execution activities, system integration, testing, and commissioning. Engineering Design & Planning - Create, review, and finalize detailed facility layouts, equipment placements, and process flow diagrams using **AutoCAD**. - Evaluate and integrate material handling equipment such as: - Conveyors - Sorters - Robotics systems - DWS (Dimensioning, Weighing & Scanning) machines - Ensure proper structural and operational integration of equipment within facility infrastructure. Electrical & Mechanical Engineering - Review mechanical equipment specifications and machine design requirements. - Analyze electrical control schematics, power distribution requirements, and automation control systems. - Ensure compliance with electrical and mechanical safety standards, regulations, and best practices. Testing & Quality Assurance - Plan and conduct **User Acceptance Testing (UAT)**. - Identify discrepancies during testing and develop corrective action plans. - Validate system throughput, performance, reliability, and operational readiness. Stakeholder & Vendor Management - Act as the primary technical point of contact for vendors, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders. - Collaborate with Operations, IT, Administration, Procurement, and other cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and success. - Drive effective communication across all project phases. Documentation & Reporting - Maintain accurate project documentation, drawings, technical records, and progress reports. - Prepare and present project updates, findings, and recommendations to management and stakeholders. - Ensure proper documentation of commissioning, handover, and post-implementation activities. Required Skills & Competencies Technical Skills - Strong understanding of engineering principles with a background in **Electrical Engineering** or **Mechanical Engineering**. - Proficiency in **AutoCAD** for technical drafting, layout planning, and engineering design. - Knowledge of automated material handling systems and industrial automation equipment. - Understanding of electrical control systems, power requirements, and machine safety standards. - Familiarity with mechanical design concepts and equipment integration. Project Management Skills - Proven ability to manage projects from conception through completion. - Experience in project planning, execution, monitoring, budgeting, and risk management. - Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Soft Skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Strong stakeholder management and influencing abilities. - Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners. - High attention to detail in engineering layouts, scope documents, and technical reports. - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in **Electrical Engineering**, **Mechanical Engineering**, or a related engineering discipline. - Professional project management certification (preferred but not mandatory). Experience Requirements - Minimum **2+ years of relevant experience** in Project Engineering within: - Logistics - Material Handling - Industrial Automation - Supply Chain Infrastructure - Hands-on experience in automation project implementation and commissioning. - Experience managing on-ground execution of engineering projects. - Familiarity with logistics operations, operations research, or supply chain concepts is an added advantage. Travel Requirements - Willingness to travel extensively across branch and hub locations for project implementation, site assessments, testing, and commissioning activities across all operational zones.
