JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title : Executive / Senior Executive Department : Finance Sub Department : Cost Control Reporting : Manager Core Responsibilities: • Market study of major revenues like THC, Detention and Demurrage and Local agency charges with competition on half yearly basis • Calculation of Incremental revenue post the approvals of revised tariffs for THC & Local Charges. • Creation of HO designed revenue template for incremental revenue as & when THC and Local charges are revised. • Recalculation of existing agility revenue targets as & when tariffs are increased for THC & Local charges and send it to Regional Cost Control for necessary changes to be done in GAIN. • Working on monthly agility savings for incremental revenue & ensure calculated savings is recorded in GAIN portal. • Sending the leakage of revenues cases to the concern & to ensure are actioned timely. • Scrutiny of Empty off-loading recovery & raise with CS team for non - collections / short recovery. • Preparing & submitting Logistics M & R recovery report to analyze the PER TEU recovery is timely submitted to HO. • Identifying the special quotations (SQ) / Service Contracts (SVC) with THC tariffs wrongly filed & liaising with the PRICER / SQ Filer to revise the SQ with the tariffs applicable • Liaising with HO & Beirut Cost Control department and answering their queries related cost and revenue. • Intimate Customer Service towards any revisions in tariff. • Adhoc workings related to Terminal contracts. • Extract Revenue & Cost Reports after period close and arrange the same systematically. • Preparation overhead (ancillary) cost analysis and also average cost included in THC and ensure liaising with concern team timely for any clarification / missing recovery. • Updating different cost sheets/calculations, Terminal Tariffs are maintained & updated timely as & when needed/changed. • Maintaining the Internal Error's Waiver matrix records on real time basis to present to management as & when demanded. • Maintaining Commercial Waiver records approved as per authority matrix & produce to management as & when demanded. • Monthly presentation of Local Revenue Per Teu & Cost Per Teu KPI. • Monitoring & ensuring that debit notes are being raised to defaulted vendors. • Monitoring processes transferred to GBS and provide assistance wherever required. Key Performance Indicators: • Preparation and timely submission of necessary cost & savings reports to Management/Head office/RCC. • Liaising with Regional Cost Control and Regional office for cost and revenue related matters. • Benchmark revenues and create annual savings proposal, calculate the additional revenues. • Ensure abnormal costs recoveries ancillary and others on monthly basis. • Ensure real time update of cost sheets & all related abnormal cost workings. Qualifications and Skill Sets: • Shipping experience preferred. • Professional, Commerce graduate and having audit knowledge. • Good analytical and presentation skills • System Savvy and logical mind • Pro-active, fast learner and good communication and managerial skills • Should be able to manage changes. • Leadership Quality
