**Job Purpose** The Senior Manager Distribution Center (DC) is responsible for leading and manage end-to-end operations at a Distribution Center, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution of all warehousing, fulfillment, and dispatch processes. The role is accountable for operational excellence, people management, facility readiness, inventory accuracy, and cost-effective store and e-commerce fulfilment. **Role & responsibilities** **DC Operations Management** - Manage all core DC activities including inbound, storage, outbound, returns, and inventory control. - Monitor and improve daily operational metrics like dock-to-stock (D2S), stock-to-dock (S2D), order-to-ship, and perfect order rate. - Drive fulfilment for both store replenishment and e-commerce channels, ensuring SLA adherence and timely dispatch. - Coordinate with the SCM Support Office (SO) team for projections and scheduling. **People, Safety & Compliance Management** - Oversee DC hiring, onboarding, and productivity management of all workforce categories. - Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and compliance standards across warehouse operations. - Train and develop DC team members while promoting a culture of safety and discipline. - Establish and track KPIs across all functions within the Distribution Center. **Facility Management & Loss Prevention** - Maintain the DC facility, including infrastructure readiness, utilities, and 5S adherence. - Ensure security and surveillance to prevent pilferage, damages, or losses. - Drive continuous improvements in space utilization and cost per delivered shipment (CPDS). - Optimize floor layout and manpower allocation to meet daily volume requirements. **Continuous Improvement & Technology Enablement** - Lead the implementation of new systems, tools, or automation introduced for warehousing and distribution. - Identify operational bottlenecks and drive process improvement projects focused on productivity and service level enhancements. **Escalation & Stakeholder Management** - Act as the point of contact for local escalations, including store/e-commerce grievances and social media complaints related to delivery experience. - Liaise with the Vertical Head - Zonal SCM Head and relevant Support Office verticals to address operational dependencies. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams like Buying, E-Commerce, Store Sales, and CS to drive process alignment and fulfilment efficiency. **Preferred candidate profile** - Minimum 8 - 12 years of experience in warehouse/DC operations, with at least 3 - 4 years in a leadership role, preferably in a retail or consumer-driven industry - Graduate / Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics Management, or a related field
