Established in 1950, it supports the almond industry through marketing, research, sustainability initiatives, and innovation in areas such as water conservation, food safety, and modern farming practices. As California’s top agricultural export industry, the organization is committed to ensuring almonds remain economically, environmentally, and socially sustainable for future generations. **The Role** Our client is seeking a **Senior Technical Lead** in the **Food Technology** division. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a global team, providing top-tier service to existing and prospective clients while expanding the business on a product and global level. **Job Description:** - Program Management: Support R&D studies across Indian and Asian universities. - Institutional Liaison: Build and advance partnerships with local universities to ensure almond research aligns with FSSAI standards and ABC’s global roadmap. - Localization: Translate U.S. scientific insights into actionable applications for Indian CPG product development (e.g., dairy alternatives, traditional snacks). **Roles and Responsibilities:** a) This person will bridge sales/trade and R&D, supporting the Managing Director, during trade shows, customer meetings, and technical discussions with large CPG and QSR companies in India. b) The role is customer-facing, technically strong, and execution-oriented, with responsibility for: - Answering technical and formulation questions - Coordinating sample development & prototyping via external labs - Supporting trade engagements and follow-ups - Acting as the India–US technical interface with the global R&D team c) The ideal candidate has Food Science / Food Technology education, experience with multinational food companies, and exposure to Western/American work culture. **Education & Certifications:** - We require a B.Tech or a master’s degree in food technology or a related field. - Strongly prefer candidates who have graduated from top Indian food universities, such as a) NDRI (National Dairy Research Institute). b) NIFTEM (National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management). c) CFTRI (Central Food Technological Research Institute). - Certifications affiliated with ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) would be preferred.
