Purpose - Why does this role exist? Shift Incharge H2 Production Responsible for overall monitoring and operation of the Hydrogen Production Plant in Shifts. Organization Chart Position reports to : Head Production (Green Hydrogen Plant) Location : JSW Energy Ltd (Vijayanagar) Positions Reporting : Direct 6-8 no’s Key Result Areas (At least four KRA’s should be critical - Kindly write CRITICAL against the KRA) The primary role is to manage shift operation of the Green Hydrogen plant to produce the desired product with highest possible productivity levels meeting quality & overall set Budget norms including Safe operation, Team management, Documentation, coordination with cross functional teams / respective stake holders for functioning of the Plant Manage the shift operation along with Panel officer from control room and guide filed O & M team for smooth operation. Key responsibilities: • Ensure highest possible productivity level, minimum down time, optimum resource allocation, and ensuring adherence to set specific norms with respect to production, safety, health & environment. • Trouble shoot the plant problems, Emergency handling and Safe plant, startups and shutdowns. • Effective control of the manufacturing process by taking frequent rounds and ensuring safe engineering practices and Standard operating procedures are followed. • Read, Maintain and Update PFD, PID, Trip matrix, Equipment data sheets, BEP and DEP documents. • Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance practices are followed and mandatory spares are maintained. • Optimizing the plant parameters to meet the plant efficiencies • To maintain proper housekeeping in the plant area. • To adhere to the routine / non-routine change over schedule of the rotary equipment’s of the plant. • Responsible for safety of men, material and machine’s. • Coordination with all other plant shift in charges for utilities, power & other inputs for smooth Shift operation • Close monitoring of shutdown & start up activities. • Monitoring of Loss points of Materials handled. • Monitoring and maintaining the product quality to meet customer needs. • On the job training of subordinates. Subordinate training mapping. • Preparing checklist and critical activity list for plant and safety. • Preparation and review of SOP, Trip matrix, Dos & Don’ts for all plant Equipment’s under operation. • Conducting GTR (Guarantee test run) in coordination with Licensors/OEM along with Operation & Maintenance team for ensuring original design intent is met. • Monitoring the safety interlocks of the plants are healthy. • Acting as an incident controller during Emergency. • Ensuring the plant is operated as per SOP. • Ensure all safe practices are adopted during maintenance. • Acquainted with all types of Permit systems and work procedures as per guidelines. • To assess the Hazard associated with Jobs /(HIRA & IER) and take appropriate action to eliminate. • To participate in Table top exercises, mock drill, EHS audits, safety committee meetings, trainings and other activities related to safety, environment for the organizations growth as and when informed. • Familiar to all types of Unit Process and Unit operation involved plants. • Refrigeration system – Vapor compression and Vapor absorption systems. • Pumps – All types of Centrifugal, Reciprocating, Metering, Vacuum & diaphragm pumps. • Compressors - All types of Centrifugal, Reciprocating & Screw compressor packages for process gas and utility system. • Effluent and Process water treatment systems- DM units, ETP, RO + ZLD units. • Utility packages – Cooling Tower, N2, Instrument air, Process air, Chilling package • Process Equipment Packages (Medium / Heavy equipment’s) • High Temperature and Pressure applications. Soft Skills- • System and Process Oriented • Knowledge of working on DCS (Distributed control system) / PLC & SCADA operations • SAP knowledge. • Problem Solving & analytical ability. • Planning and Decision making skills. Others- • Good communication, Interpersonal Skills & Self-motivated. • Lead a plant operation team, engineers & Contract employees. Language Requirement- • Excellent English communication skills (Verbal & Written) Educational Background and Work Experience Educational Background: • B.E / B Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Production Engineering / Instrument engineer Work Experience: • Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience in continuous plant operation (H2 manufacturing from electrolysis process relevant experience is an added advantage) Working relationships - Stakeholders Internal: • Panel officers and Field engineers. • All discipline heads (Electrical & Instrumentation / Mechanical / Civil / Process) for smooth O & M activities. • Interaction with Functional departments Commercial, Operational, EHS F&A, External: • OEM, Licensors, Service providers, Suppliers, Contractors, Vendors, Consultants, Statutory agencies etc
