Purpose - Why does this role exist? Panel/Desk officer H2 Production To operate and monitor the plant from DCS / PLC / SCADA interface and ensure plants is operated safely in shifts to meet the uninterrupted production and quality. Organization Chart Position reports to : Shift Incharge (Green Hydrogen Plant) Location : JSW Energy Ltd (Vijayanagar) Positions Reporting : Direct Key Result Areas (At least four KRAs should be critical - Kindly write CRITICAL against the KRA) The primary role is to operate and monitor the H2 plant from DCS / PLC / SCADA interface in alignment with Shift Incharge and manager instructions and ensure all day to day operation and emergencies are handled safely to maintain plant integrity. Key responsibilities: • To control, monitor and optimize the process parameter as per SOP in coordination with filed engineers to ensure smooth plant operation. • Trouble shoot the plant problems, Emergency handling and Safe plant, startups and shutdowns. • Effective control of the manufacturing process in coordination with all stake holders. • Quick capturing the Plant process, Standard operating procedures, Trip matrix for H2 plant and associated unit processes. • Optimizing the plant parameters to meet the plant efficiencies • Able to review and read process documents (PFD / PID / BEP and DEP docs) • To adhere to the routine / non-routine change over schedule of the rotary equipments of the plant. • Coordination with all other plant shift in charges for utilities, power & other inputs for smooth Shift operation • Close monitoring of shutdown & start up activities. • Monitoring and recording daily production data. • Monitoring and maintaining the product quality to meet customer needs. • On the job training of subordinates. • Review and updation of SOP, Trip matrix, Dos & Donts for all plant Equipments under operation. • Monitoring the safety interlocks of the plants are healthy. • Acting as supporting member to incident controller during Emergency. • Keeping a close watch & logging of panel readings on critical operating parameters and plant equipments to diagnose problems and potential breakdown symptoms, take corrective actions. • To inform shift In charge about any identified deviation in the process parameters, to find its cause and to take corrective actions in consultation with the shift In Charge to ensure the product Quality as per specifications. • To participate in Table top exercises, mock drill, EHS audits, safety committee meetings, trainings and other activities related to safety, environment for the organizations growth as and when informed. • Compliance to all statutory standards using IMS documents. • Familiar to all types of Unit Process and Unit operation involved plants. • Refrigeration system Vapor compression and Vapor absorption systems. • Pumps All types of Centrifugal, Reciprocating, Metering, Vacuum & diaphragm pumps. • Compressors - All types of Centrifugal, Reciprocating & Screw compressor packages for process gas and utility system. • Effluent and Process water treatment systems- DM units, ETP, RO + ZLD units. • Utility packages Cooling Tower, N2, Instrument air, Process air, Chilling package • Process Equipment Packages (Medium / Heavy equipments) • High Temperature and Pressure applications. Soft Skills- • System and Process Oriented • Knowledge of working on DCS (Distributed control system) / PLC & SCADA operations • SAP knowledge. • Problem Solving & analytical ability. • Planning and Decision making skills. Others- • Good communication, Interpersonal Skills & Self-motivated. Language Requirement- • Excellent English communication skills (Verbal & Written) Educational Background and Work Experience Educational Background: • B.E / B Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Production Engineering / Instrument engineer Work Experience: • Minimum 2 5 years of experience in continuous Chemical / Gas plant operation. Hands on experience in handling critical process operation using DCS / PLC / SCADA interface (H2 manufacturing from electrolysis process relevant experience is an added advantage) Working relationships - Stakeholders Internal: • Shift Incharge, Field engineers and Technicians • All discipline heads (Electrical & Instrumentation / Mechanical / Civil / Process) for smooth O & M activities. • EHS Personnel. External: • OEM, Licensors, Service providers, Suppliers, Contractors, Vendors, Consultants, Statutory agencies etc.
