Job Description: • Coordinate and advise new projects for database server installations setup and database patching hardening and best practices • Ensure alignment with existing standard policies and strategies • Design database infrastructure with Monitoring Backup Restoration High Availability Disaster Recovery Designs • Detail test validate and implement the database infrastructure definitions for new projects and landscapes • Plan and define standards for the infrastructure and architecture design for Databases • Support in Database Capacity Planning and implement measures to accommodate growth • Develop test and document new installations and migration approach for new database technologies • Document new database technologies installation process • Ensure the setup of database backup and monitoring configuration for all databases being managed and provide reports • Install other service related software e • g • database client software • Manage database projects implementation including the scheduling of the technical installation documentations and handover until go live • Perform initial new technology cluster setup or high availability and disaster recovery setup and testing for all database variants and upcoming database technologies • Database Audits Security and Compliance • Receive Vulnerability reports on the Database servers and define action plan for timely resolution of issues • Ensure the proper transition is done to the run operations by creating documentations updating the relevant details in the tools and updating of knowledge base work instructions document for further reference • Provide advice and guidance on the selection sizing procurement and usage of servers and related utility software • Regularly review update and maintain Service Catalogue for Database services • Review Database Performance and raise issues and advise Operations team for immediate resolution • Review SLAs OLAs and contracts and revise when necessary • Set up regular Database Service Level Reporting process and continuously monitor compliance with the SLA • Service Improvements • Define and periodically review and improve the Database Operation Services scope for the provision and management of Database Systems • Develop processes improvements and automation for database provisioning configuration changes patch management and any other database tasks that can be improved or automated for faster delivery of database service Key Responsibilities: • A day in the life of an Infoscion • As part of the Infosys consulting team your primary role would be to actively aid the consulting team in different phases of the project including problem definition effort estimation diagnosis solution generation and design and deployment • You will explore the alternatives to the recommended solutions based on research that includes literature surveys information available in public domains vendor evaluation information etc • and build POCs • You will create requirement specifications from the business needs define the to be processes and detailed functional designs based on requirements • You will support configuring solution requirements on the products understand if any issues diagnose the root cause of such issues seek clarifications and then identify and shortlist solution alternatives • You will also contribute to unit level and organizational initiatives with an objective of providing high quality value adding solutions to customers • If you think you fit right in to help our clients navigate their next in their digital transformation journey this is the place for you Technical Requirements: • Primary skills Technology Database administration mySQL administration Technology infrastructure database administration SQL administration Additional Responsibilities: • A b i l i t y t o w o r k w i t h c l i e n t s t o i d e n t i f y b u s i n e s s c h a l l e n g e s a n d c o n t r i b u t e t o c l i e n t d e l i v e r a b l e s b y r e f i n i n g a n a l y z i n g a n d s t r u c t u r i n g r e l e v a n t d a t a • A w a r e n e s s o f l a t e s t t e c h n o l o g i e s a n d t r e n d s • L o g i c a l t h i n k i n g a n d p r o b l e m s o l v i n g s k i l l s a l o n g w i t h a n a b i l i t y t o c o l l a b o r a t e • A b i l i t y t o a s s e s s t h e c u r r e n t p r o c e s s e s i d e n t i f y i m p r o v e m e n t a r e a s a n d s u g g e s t t h e t e c h n o l o g y s o l u t i o n s • O n e o r t w o i n d u s t r y d o m a i n k n o w l e d g e Preferred Skills: Technology->Database administration->mySQL administration,Technology->infrastructure-database administration->SQL administration
